Skype without Kinect on Xbox One

Kinect truly does bring an added experience to Xbox. The voice commands and the Skype is my favorite. Kinect Sport Rivals (April) has caught my attention to (avatar creating).... plus PS4 went up $50......

I am having the same problem with my Kinect and Skype on the Xbox One. I haven't found any solutions anywhere, including the Xbox forum. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling Skype on the Xbox One, but that didn't work. Also tried unplugging the Kinect, making
sure camera and microphone permissions were set appropriately for Skype. No luck.

YES, and I hadn't given it much thought until yesterday when I tried to Skype without using my headset (wanted to use Kinect and stereo).

That was a no-go. I did not get that to work since all audio and speak needed to go through the headset. I searched the settings on both the Xbox and the Skype app to try to force the sound to my receiver and Kinect without any success. Anyone that got this
working?

Skype service was available on 360 for awhile, about half a year to a year ago they took it off. You were even able to make skype calls using the xbox Kinect. The New Kinect will be able to do video chat as well as camera related items. in fact, you can
pull up Skype directly on the side of your game to video chat while you play. The current kinect had skype, but for reasons unknown to me, they decided to remove that functionality. just wait for the xbox one, it is better in every way to the current generation.
especially with the kinect.

Not trying to be nasty against Microsoft, but Skype should also be in the Xbox 360. Why? Not all of us can afford an Xbox One and I mean, come on. Microsoft made Skype, so they should put Skype on the Xbox 360. You don't just need a Kinect Sensor for Skype.
People can just type or use their gaming headset.
