Skype video conference on Xbox One not possible

Dear all,

I can't set up a proper Skype video conference. There are three callers, one of us is always randomly without a video signal. It works fine on PC's and Mac's. Do you have the same issue? Please let me know. Many thanks.

Yes it is possible to have up to 3 participants on a video call on skype for Xbox One. Here is a link to the support page with the step-by-step to start the video call for 3 people:

Not sure what the issue may be. Skype for Xbox One supports 4-way video calls for sure (host +3). Does it happen when everyone runs only Skype or there is some other application snapped to it?

Have you noticed any pattern in relation to the setup and issue arising? Is it the same person hosting the call? Is it the last person to connect that goes without video stream ability?

 

We are two persons at the skype conference (Xbox and PC). I host the video chat and I lose everytime my video signal. And I cannot restart the signal so I have to start a new call. I happend when I' use Skype in full screen and when it is snapped. I noticed
this problem after the june system update. First Kinect didn't start when I started the Xbox and now Kinect is working fine except with Skype. Sorry for my englisch.

 

Got a reply frm Skype helpdesk. They told me that the Xbox One owner can't initiate a video conference call. I'll try tomorrow again and I will not host the call. Thanks.

 

What? No. You definitely can initiate a 4-way (3+host) video call from Skype on XB1. This must be some other problem... Don't have other theories at the moment, sadly =(

 

There is something wrong with my Xbox or router settings. It's almost only me loosing the video (frozen picture). What ports did you open in your router for the Xbox? Many thanks.
