Skype video call for children accounts (Kinect) not working

Hi,

I tried to talk to kids using video chat in Skype (meC, kids:XB1). They could see me on Xbox, but were unable to turn Kinect camera so that I'd see them.

I believe it's either Family Safety setting or Xbox safety setting or …. honestly no idea where to enable this.

hi all, can anyone guide me on how to use video kinect, how and what friends can be added for video kinect chat. it looks as though skype is not an option.

basicly just need a guide to add friends for video calls. How!!!

Skype Bug: Kinect mic nonfunctional for Skype only.

Since the update to Skype on my Preview-enrolled Xbox One, the Kinect microphone does not work with the app. I have the permissions set correctly—Skype is allowed to access my mic in the Settings page—and the Kinect mic works in all other situation, including
game chat and voice commands.

But now when making Skype calls only the video works. No one receives my audio, and occasionally I get an error message saying that my mic isn't working. But it is, just not for Skype, despite all the right settings as I said.

We are two persons at the skype conference (Xbox and PC). I host the video chat and I lose everytime my video signal. And I cannot restart the signal so I have to start a new call. I happend when I' use Skype in full screen and when it is snapped. I noticed
this problem after the june system update. First Kinect didn't start when I started the Xbox and now Kinect is working fine except with Skype. Sorry for my englisch.

As I understand, Kinect features can only be disabled by the game when it is running in the foreground.

Which means:

If you play a game and have Skype video snapped to it, then the video will not be able to use those Kinect features that are turned off by the game.

If you use Skype in full-screen mode, all Kinect features will work fine, including tracking.

In other words, Skype video experience may indeed be limited, if you are running a game that is turning off Kinect features. Otherwise, the update will not have any negative effect on Skype.

Well group video calling, is only available with Skype Premium & texts also use Skype Credits etc..

If it is anything like Skype for HDTV, that already uses a Kinect like camera.. You also pay a Subscription fee for some features, like voice calls too..
