Skype Unavailable

Hi,

So I've been using skype alot on xb1 and I closed it today because I was on skype on my PC and didn't want notifications on my xbox. Next time I tried and opening it it gave me an error so I restarted the console, Same thing. So I uninstalled it.

Now I'm in the store trying to re download it and it just says unlivable. I manually powered the console for a hard reset unplugged it and left it off for around an hour. Same thing,

Any idea on how I can fix this issue.

Skype unavailable to download

I go to try to get skype for the first time and i just says unavailable ..... this is getting annoying...

 

Skype app opens instead of Microsoft store

Anytime I try and open the microsoft store on my xbox one, the unavailable skype app opens instead. What is going on here?

 

I am having the same problem today, it was working fine yesterday. Says do you own this game or app? When I go to store, it says 'unavailable'

 

The error was, 0x87de07d1.

 

Seriously? I just dropped a shizz** ton of money and I'm almost regretting every cent each week. PS4 is looking mighty fine with all the issues they're NOT having. Wtf Microsoft? Get your shizz together. This extreme wait times on game installing (before
you're allowed to even play it?!?!) What's that crap? Number two, Skype says unavailable and there's NOTHING I can do about it. I'm NOT hard resetting my system and going to wait again for those games to install, and the apps too! I know the processor/graphics/new
technology whatever it is, is different between 360 and the One, but backward capabilities would be great OBVIOUSLY...Why? Because there are not any games worth buying yet that I haven't already played (Ryse-great game, Battlefield 4-great game, Watchdogs-decent
so far) I'm not a huge online multiplayer gamer anymore (until Halo/COD) so Titanfall is a no go. The other ones? Been told by many gamestop associates bout the other games being crappy, boring or terrible. There's TOO many kiddy games. Y'all PLEASE do something....
I know, however, that I just COMPLETELY wasted my time typing this all out. So I guess I'll just stay bent over this counter while y'all just keep rippin my *** apart.

 

Back to the Skype thing..... fix it. Stop being morons. Y'all make how much frickin money???

Sorry to hear about this issue! The information has been passed on to the product team and they are looking into it.

 

When will this be fixed its been over 12you hours almost this is not right xbox? Anyones else workong?

 

This happened to me today! I just got the xbox one and I was never able to get on skype. I did that whole thing were it says "play the disc or download it from the store". So I unistalled and attempted to reinstall and it just says unavailable. WTF MAN -.-

 

This is not an xbox one issue this is a skype app issue you do not need to hard reset your xbox ones this again is an skype app issue skype is having problems i called tec support and there aware of the problem. Again a skype app issue. Not an xbox one issue.

It seems things may be improving - could you please try to run Skype again? In case it got uninstalled, please try to install and launch it again.

When I tried to launch Skype at my Xbox One at work, it showed me the "Do you own this app?" error with error code 0x87de07d1. I uninstalled and then reinstalled Skype but had the same result. I also switched to my colleague's account and it didn't work
for her either. When I got home, my own Xbox is giving me the error as well.

Hopefully it'll be resolved soon, otherwise I would have no choice but play more games at work.

Just to clarify - you've tried it just now or few hours ago? Latest info we have is that the issue should be resolved by simply launching Skype or reinstalling.

 

The app is now working for me, I Believe the issue has been fixed.
