    Skype Linking Problems


    So I recently got an Xbox One, and I wanted to use Skype on the Xbox One, I signed into Skype, no problems there, but when I try linking it, the link process immediately fails. Any way to fix this?

    Try linking Skype account to your XBL account.

    Same here ...

    This is typical of microsoft, the account management is really poor.

    I've hit problems with skype and ms account linking, outlook, msdn subscriptions ...

    Microsoft just cant manage single sign on!

    This suggestion doesn't work!

    Cant do anything with Skype

    Its ridiculous. I understand its a new system, and there are plenty of problems going around, especially skype.

    But this is almost unfixable, you cant sign out of skype on the xbox one.

    According to the app, my accounts are linked. According to the website, I am not linked.

    Confused.

    Signing into Skype uses the Microsoft Account of the active user. If your Skype account is already linked to that Microsoft Account, it just uses that, if not you can link it to a Skype account that you have.

    So, for a family member that has a Microsoft Account on the console, but has not yet linked it to a Skype account, they should follow the flow to use an existing Skype account or create a new one.

    You can unlink the Microsoft Account that is linked to a Skype Account as described here:

    Are you using your Microsoft Account to sign in to Skype on XB1 or are you using your usual Skype Name and Password?

    You can link your Skype/MSA together by going to Skype.com - I will post a few links that can hopefully be helpful to you.

    Sorry to hear about the crashing issue with Skype. Let's begin by following these steps to get this issue resolved:

    • Uninstall the Skype app from your Xbox One console.
    • Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds, or until the console fully powers down.
    • Navigate to the 'My Games and apps' tile and reinstall Skype from your 'Ready to install' list.
    Give that a shot and let us know how it goes!

    Problem with Skype or....?

    Hello!

    Hardware - Xbox One

    OS - Windows 10 | v. 10.0.10586.1024

    APP - Skype | Release date 2013.11.15

    Everything latest version (from official distribution) and belong to one company.

    As result it does not work together.

    I wasted 2h on skype helpdesk with mixed bot and human responses. I able to run skype after re-installing it (EACH TIME).

    Xbox call center does not work including call-back feature,

    Please, request this issue to Skype and/or Windows 10 dev team and share with people tracking number. A lot of users would to have Skype up and running and (I believe) will enjoy your test tasks.
