Skype just hangs

If you would like to delete and reinstall Skype then find the app on your Home page and highlight it. Then press the Menu button and select Uninstall. After that you can find it in the Apps menu again and then Install it.

However, try holding the power button on the console for 8 seconds until it shuts down first. That has the same effect as clearing the cache on the 360 and may solve your problem.

Just to clarify the behaviour that you're seeing:

• Does the Xbox recognise the command you say as "Xbox answer", or does it recognise it as "Xbox hang up" (it shows the recognised command in the top-right corner?
  
• Does Skype launch when you say "Xbox hang up"?
• Assuming Skype does launch, does it instantly hang up, or does the call end after a few seconds?

Same problem here. My Xbox switches to Skype while answering the call but it hangs on the Blue screen for a long time but never connects. It eventually goes to that contact's info screen where I can call them back with no problem.

Run a Detailed Network Statistics test on the Xbox One console and please provide the following information.

• Download Speed
• Upload Speed
• Latency
• Packet Loss %
• Wireless Strength (if applicable)
• Modem Manufacturer
• Router Manufacturer (if being used) as well as the model number
• Does this issue occur on a wired connection to your modem via Ethernet?:

Let's then have you try to do a Network power cycle, to see if it helps.

• Start by powering off and unplugging your Modem, Router (if applicable) and Xbox One console.
  
• After 60 seconds of the devices being powered off, turn on the power to your Modem and then the Router (if applicable).
  
• Wait another 60 seconds for the network equipment to turn on and gain the proper signals from your ISP. Then turn on your Xbox One console.

I turned the power off the router and back on and no difference

Also I use a win10 laptop, android tablet and a PS4 slim and have no issues with these, for the Xbox's everything else works except Edge (which stopped around the beginning of the month but worked for the 2 years previous) and the achievements details for
the game, also the achievement tracker that was added to the previous update does not turn on. I did update my Xbox's to the latest update last night and still have the same issues.
