Skype immediately disconnects a call when the other party accepts the call

Uninstalled skype

Then reinstalled it

with all permissions.

Did all that after turning off and on the xbox.

Xbox got all latest updates automatically.

When making a call to a contact, when this contact "picks up" Skype immediately disconnects the call.

Chatting works.

But video and audio calls dont work.

Tried skype contacts on windows pc, android client and iphone client

Them amongst eachother can call... just not with me on my xbox one.

MS.

This is a standard programm on a standard console.

It should work for dummies just like that out of the box.

Am disappointed so far.

Please supply a satisfactory answer.

Error on skype app

If u are on a call on skype and u puts cable in ur controller so i makes a little reset or u take out the cable it will disconnect ur call on skype.

How will Xbox one party work?

Joining a "party" sounds cooler than joining a "call" aka Skype Call (unless they rename it something party). The younger generation likes parties :c

I have the same problem with my Skype on Xbox one S. As soon as the other party picks up the call, the call is dropped by Xbox; similarly if the other party is calling, when I pick up, my Xbox drops the call immediately. Skype on my PC or iPhone/iPad are
working fine. I have given a feedback through Xbox; but unfortunately no response. My setup is Xbox connected to a Sony Bravia TV connected through HDMI.

Any suggestion to solve this problem is appreciated.

Xbox One doesn't do video calls in snap mode. You can Skype voice call someone and talk to them while you game. I do that every time my friend and I play as party chat never works. Just make sure you are not in a party. Then Skype voice call them. After
they answer, play your game and Skype will continue running, no need to even snap it.

Mista, appreciate the help. I switch between (trying) talking to a friend in an XBLive party, and Skype test calls to see if things are working. Skype test calls come back mute.

Microsoft knows Xbox Live Party is an important feature. They might keep it. Skype Call is just "Skype-Call". Theres no "PaRtY" word in Skype Call.

Which do you prefer? "Hi we're going to have an Xbox Live PARTY this weekend" "Hi we're going to have a s-k-y-p-e--c-a-l-l this weekend".

M can release an Xbox Live Dashboard Update to help this possible on both 1 and 360. Just because you can Video Kinect on the 360 doesn't mean they're removing Xbox Live Party on the 360.
