Skype Group Video Calls Now FREE on XBL!

Will you be making use of this new feature often now that it's going to be available on Xbox Live? Why or why not?

To point out something, Skype is free on other platforms but.... If you wish to do Group Skype video calls that is now in a payed premium model of Skype. Now I believe the X1 Skype allows you to Skype Group vid calls as long as you have gold, which is also
for multiplayer and other things. So as I don't have Skype premium normally if I need to do this ill use the X1 and take advantage of that being included in my Multiplayer subscription.

Yes it is possible to have up to 3 participants on a video call on skype for Xbox One. Here is a link to the support page with the step-by-step to start the video call for 3 people:

I have group video chatted before and haven't had to pay for it, is this new?

I would use skype more on the XO if the snap feature worked, if it was easier to use (the menu system is rubbish, adding people to group chat is bloody hard work), and if it was integrated better, eg no idea how the sound will work with other stuff, and
why would I not just use party chat?

 

didn't even know it was at cost lol .. so yes, i will be taking advantage of it (more).

 

All I know is do u have only skype premium for the first 6 months. I only want to video chat with close friends but the idea sounds good. One of my xbox 360 friends gave me her skype details. As long as u dont have ti pay extra for video and group vid thats
good.
