Skype doesn't show all new messages.

Yes there are those of us who are denied the ability for voice messages. Me and my friends which include a full 360 friends list genuinely use voice messaging and txt messaging. On Xbox 1's Skype app you CANT open voice messages because all you get is "this
version of Skype doesn't support that yet" an Xbox 360 friend sent me one, and the only reason why I have Skype is because of Xbox 1. Just Like to video chat on 360 you need Video Kinect, to video chat on Xbox 1 you need the Skype app. It is an Xbox feature
which tonnes of peps use on Xbox 360 so they should make Voice Messaging interchangeable between at least all Xbox 1 consoles which use Xbox Live.

I have a similar problem all of my messages/conversations are a week old. When i start a new conversation or send a message to someone it doesnt show up. I logged into another account on my xbox and the issue wasn't there.

Same problem for me as well. I will start a new conversation with someone and it doesn't show up. I believe the xbox messaging system is having problems right now due to all the traffic.

Personally I think they should just drop messaging and ensure tighter integration with Skype (and also maybe SMS messaging) - as Skype can do text and voice messaging.

Why reinvent the wheel there are better messaging systems/apps out there - they just need tighter/seamless integration.

If I remember right, this suggestion was made in another thread before. The way I understand it, in order to Skype with someone and/or send text, voice messages via Skype, you
have to have that person's email and be on their 'Skype list'?

Even if all you need is their email, I have nearly 100 friends (I used weed out my list regularly... guess I don't need to now) and several followers I haven't added yet. The last
thing I want to do is track down a bunch of peoples' email addresses and/or set it all up so that I can use Skype to send messages to friends. Why should I need to...

Previously, all I had to do (on my 360) was pull up a friend and decide to send either a voice or a text message. I didn't need a Skype account or some other app setup and I didn't
need an email or any other information about the recipient at all. Just find them on your list and send a message. You really can't get less seamless than that. If you ask me, trying to integrate Skype, as opposed to just adding voice messaging, would actually
be 'reinventing the wheel'.

I just doesn't open at all, opens and closes or shows a error message?

Couldn't find such a thing and now can't launch the app anymore.
