    Skype Crashing


    This is the first time I am using Skype on the xbox one, and I just installed it today and already connected it to Microsoft or whatever. So, as soon as I press "Yup, that's me!" It crashes and sends me to the dashboard.

    There's an update on the Skype Community about the work from the Skype and Xbox One developers towards a fix for the Skype app problems:

    power cycle console hold power button 5/8 secs

    I am having the same problem, tried the step above and it still continues to crash. Has anyone got any other suggestions?

    Yes I am having the same problem too, I also tried the above step and it still continues to crash. Any help would be appreciated.

    I have just fixed the issue and it turns out you have to have kinect plugged in in order to use skype. see this post for more info

    I never needed the kinect before but this did solve the problem for me. Thanks guys.
