Skype crash in snap mode

Hi all!

I want to report about Skype crash on Xbox One. You can easily reproduce this, just open Skype in snap mode. Then change focus from Skype to another app or game and after that send any picture from another device to this account.

Did you try starting the Skype app in snapped mode as described in
support.xbox.com/.../multitask-with-snap ?

Members of the Skype Community reported that using this workaround they were able to start Skype and also later on switch to full screen mode and the app continued to work.

Current Snap implementation for Skype is very basic, yes. There are further improvements planned - hopefully chatting in Snap mode is one of those.

Have you tried reinstalling Skype to see if you can still reproduce the issue?

 

TheJackah, yeah I tried all steps and not only I can reproduce this issue, but another two users too.

 

Thanks. Just so I can try and reproduce this on my end, could you explain what you meant by this:

"after that send any picture from another device to this account"

 

TheJackah, ok, to do this, You need two different Skype accounts. One account You open on Xbox One and second on any other device, second device would send picture to account that opened on Xbox One. Or Your friend can send picture to You, this not matters
who.

I haven't had chance to test this myself as yet.

I've reported this to the developers through the Preview Program so that it can be investigated.

Hopefully this will be resolved soon.
