Skype - can't hear contacts

Just to double check the possibility, may I know if you tried using a different wifi network?

For example share mobile data via wifi hotspot and connect your console in that way temporarily

If you are not able to test that, may I know if you tried power cycling your console?

1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.

Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

After that, try to remove and re-add your profile on the console.

Also disconnect your router from power for about 3 minutes. Then connect it again an when everything is working, try again

Sorry to hear about the party chat issues. Just to check, have you checked under your Network Settings to see what your NAT type is showing as? If anything other than opening is showing that may be causing the trouble you're having with party chat.

It may be also worth opening up the Skype app and giving calling the "Skype Test Call" contact. If you can't hear yourself this may be a hardware issue. Keep us in the loop with what's going on

If you have switched out your controller and headset, but you're still having issues with being heard or with hearing others in party chat, check your connectivity by using the
Xbox One Multiplayer Game Solution.

You can use the Skype app to test your headset. Here’s how:

1. Sign in to your account.
   
2. Select the Skype app.
3. Select People, and then select the Skype Test Call
   contact.
4. Select Voice call. Skype will try to connect your voice call.
   
5. The call will ask you to speak into the mic and will repeat what was heard.
