    There's an update on the Skype Community about the work from the Skype and Xbox One developers towards a fix for the Skype app problems:

    skype app keeps still crashing on my xbox one.

    and the last update i got was on 7-01-2016

    Skype app crashing

    Hey BlueEagleX72! Sorry to hear your Skype app is crashing. If you haven't tried already, I'd strongly suggest power cycling your console by holding the power button for 10 seconds. Then power back on (it'll fully reboot with a green Xbox One screen) and
    try Skype again.

    If that doesn't help, try uninstalling Skype with these steps:
    support.xbox.com/.../uninstall-content     Then power cycle again & re-install it from the Xbox Store. Any difference there?

    So I was hoping that the February Xbox One update would fix Skype but it still crashes on sign in no matter what.
