    skype does not work with the new update and indicates, not compatible with system when trying to reinstall. MS EDGE opens to SKYPE home page. ERROR CODE:Ox0073cf6

    Xbox Messaging - Why is it so terrible? Or is it me?

    It seems Xbox uses Skype for messaging in the background.

    Can you try to sign into your Microsoft Account using a Skype App, and are you able to message other people via Skype?

    I know that in order to use Skype, you had to confirm your account in some way, to prevent Spamming.

    Can you try going to Sign in to your Microsoft account and check if your account needs to be "confirmed"?

    Also regarding the messaging via website: I also had trouble accessing my messages on Edge and Firefox browsers, with an error message that my messages couldn't be loaded. But when I tried it on Chrome it worked. Maybe this will help as well.

    Are there any XB1 to PS4 cross chat apps?

    They still developed Skype for the PS Vita and MacBooks. The Skype division of MS is not in competition with Playstation.

    the easiest thing to do would be to use skype on your xbox one, as mixer has no intergrations with facebook and in order for your camera to work you may have to go into microsft edges settings to see if that is allowing your camera to work!

    Edge on Xbox is not a full functional web browser and mostly used for viewing product information. It is deliberately prevented from running code like what you want it to do.

    You need to use Skype on another device for those features if the app doesn't support it
