Skype 4 participants limit too low

Increasing the number of participants for calls hosted on the Xbox is important to us, too and we'll continue to strive to improve the app performance and feature set over time.

Note: an Xbox One user can participate in a call with more than 4 participants if the call is not hosted on the Xbox.

I found a workaround to still talk to friends btw. In events like this I use SKYPE as a backup and it works flawlessly except one minor problem, party size limit! The PC version lets you have up to 20 participants in a live group chat party, some say there
is a limit of 200 available to premium users. Sadly the Xbox one only has a limit of 4. Again just another FAIL. Also how can Microsoft promote online cloud based mirroring services when they clearly and evidently can not show it..? .....Confused

yeah they messed up party chat. my advice is to just use Skype for now although that has a 4 player limit I think. lots of stuff for MS to iron out for sure

Mean, the thing is, with the new rep system for the one, if it falls too low, it limits your communication abilities and matches you with lower rep people. It is not the same as on the 360.

[/quote]Another thing you could do, too, is when you install Skype, if you don't have a Skype ID, make 1, that way then any of your friedns that have it can do the same and at least from therer you should be able to video chat
with them because it's considered Skype to Skype. The only exception is once that time limit expires for Premium, the 30 days or however long they're giving us, you just wouldn't be able to do group video unless you can pay for Skype Premium.
