Skylanders portal compatibility with Xbox one

Hi Gamers, moved my skylanders game from ps3 to Xbox oneS. I had to purchase the CD, but I now realize the portal needs to work with Xbox as well. Some models of skylander portal of power suppose to work with other Xbox model as well. Do all models
work with Xbox one or is it a certain one that only works with Xbox one?thank!

Thank you, but why most Ebay sellers (as you know this is an old game), selling the portal as multi platform?

Likely because they have multiple portals or are unaware that they aren't multi platform.

Thanks for coming to the forums. The portal may not be compatible. On the fandom wiki looks like they all need the one it is sold to example Xbox portal for Xbox. You can look

over the wiki for more information. However, have read that some are compatible with other platforms like the 3DS portal.

Portal Compatibility
The Xbox 360 portal will only work on an Xbox 360, as will a Xbox One one only work in Xbox Ones; this applies to all games. The Spyro's Adventure 3DS portal is universal and will work on any system
with that game except an Xbox 360; the Spyro's Adventure portals of other consoles can also work with the PC version of Spyro's Adventure.

Unfortunately, it's been announced that any 360 games that require a USB accessory (like the Skylanders portal of power) will not be coming to backwards compatibility.
