sky volume not coming through on first start

I have a SKY HD box going into my XBOX one and my XBOX one going into an ONKYO AMP.

When I initially turn the XBOX on and say XBOX WATCH TV or now with the recent update I have the XBOX going to TV by default when I power on.

This may be a problem with the SKY box but the sound doesn't come through at all initially. If I switch the SKY box off then on again it work fine again. Anyone else seeing this behaviour? It certainly has worked in the past consistently but now I get this
behavior every time.

Xbox one headset or controller issue

I bought xbox one on friday and i tried the headset for the first time yesterday and i do not hear anything and no one can hear me. It is powered on because when i press the mute button, it does illuminate orange. Also the volume button beeps when i press
volume up, but there is no voice coming through or going out..

TV Very quiet on Xbox ONE

Hey folks, I have found my TV pass through (SKY+ HD, UK) to be very quiet, even more so after getting my first preview program update (I cant access/find the preview program forum FYI)

Games and apps need about 15 volume, however TV needs 40+! Ant ideas or assistance would be appreciated.

Just set up the OneGuide myself to the Sky+ HD 2TB and it will now only show a single frozen screen. You can't remove the Oneguide, you can't clear the feature and reset, nothing.

Now I have tried resetting all of the connected devices, the Tv, the One Guide everything so that the X1 is little more than a bloody SNES and it STILL won't let us watch TV or even show a moving picture with any sound? ( odd that the same HDMI port that
Microsoft claim may be the issue, even though its their HDMI port and seems to work fine with gaming )

total ineptitude again from all concerned, I am NOT a beta tester! You don't employ me, I don't get paid for this rubbish so FIX YOUR FEATURES BEFORE YOU LAUNCH THEM!

This enforced update BS has to stop. Treating your customers to what is, in effect, a beta test, sky themselves have stated ( this morning on the phone with CS ), they have NO compatibility with X1 yet )and then claiming no responsibility has to stop.

There are 2 volume settings for your Turtle Beaches.

Game volume and Game to Chat volume.

Make sure your Game to Chat volume is turned up high and then your standard Game Volume should come through loud and clear.

I have this same issue with the remote not always controlling the volume on my Sony sound bar. One other thing I noticed besides the hit or miss volume control is that my Xbox won't change the volume either through remote control or voice control for the
first 5 or so minutes after the Xbox starts. Going to try to unplug and restart to see if that fixes the issue but I agree very annoying, the remote works ok besides that.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you have a question on how to change chat to not come through your TV. First if there is no headset plugged into the controller, it will automatically come through the TV. If there is a headset yo need
to go to settings>general>Volume & audio output>change party chat output to headset.
