    SKY TV ON XBOX 360 which FORGETS SKY LOG-IN DETAILS


    That's it really - I have set up Sky Tv on an Xbox 360 for my brother-in-law.

    It works.

    BUT, whenever he fires up the Xbox360, it has forgotten the Sky Log-in details which have to be entered again.

    Why does this happena dn how can it be fixed?

    Sky TV subscription at no extra cost until 1 Feb 2012

    I currently access Sky on my 360, but Ive noticed in MS T&Cs it says "Sky TV Customers: Live TV and on-demand content available on Xbox 360 in line with your Sky TV subscription at no extra cost until 1 Feb 2012.
    To watch Sky Movies and/or Sky Sports on-demand you must take Sky Movies 1&2 and/or Sky Sports 1&2."

    So after the 1st Feb are MS going to start charging Sky customers who access their package through Xbox 360?

    Restart (pull plug) XB1 to get Live TV working after 'sleep mode'

    I've found i loose my tv signal if i don't turn my sky box on before i turn the xbox on, as the uk doesn't have the advanced tv functions the xbox doesn't turn my sky box on with my tv and av receiver and if i forget I'm left with a black screen and have
    to restart with sky turned on to get it back.

    It is most Likely a bug with the app I will pass on the information.

    No it's not. Sorted.

    Had to set up secondary account is all. Add user using the viewing card number, not the account number. It then creates a Guest ID for which I gave him his own log-in.

    Now my log-in is secure and he can watch sky.

    One extra tip, when trying to log in on the Xbox Sky app, it was rejected. I had to log on as him on my phone and accept terms and conditions. Then his log-on could access Sky perfectly.

    Two very simple things that they should have addressed on the web site

    Hi Luk396!

    From how I understand it, the only way to access Sky Go is through the TV from Sky app on Xbox One and Series X|S consoles.

    Xbox One and Series X|S console apps - some apps may not be available in your country/region.

    Set up TV from Sky on your Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S - step by step guide, which also mentions:

    Please be aware that Sky Go Extra is referred to as TV from Sky when downloading or selecting the app on your console.

    So don’t listen to anything that says you need the Sky Go app, as this app isn’t available on Xbox consoles. I believe you can access the service through the Sky app on Xbox One, as long as you’re connected to Xbox Live and have Sky Go Extra on your Sky account.

    The Sky Go app is available on compatible smartphones, tablets, laptops etc. Just not on consoles, which explains why you’re unable to find it on your Xbox One.

    Yep sorry OP but you are correct, you can only have one 360 console registered at a time now.

    It was different in the past as it was just '2 devices', but I guess someone in their infinite wisdom decided to change it. You can still have

    2 registered devices     using Sky go, but you are restricted to just the one console at a time now.
