    Sky on xbox


    Hi.

    So im having trouble with the sky app and the sky team cant help.

    *The search option isnt finding anything

    *Some episodes need a pin however my device pin doesn't work, ive even tried changing it and we dont even have the option for pin turned on in device settings. It all works fine on my phone and tablet.

    Ive uninstalled the app 2ce and turned off and unplugged the Xbox.

    Rebooting my router.

    Taken xbox off my sky devices and re added

    Hope someone can help.

    Is sky going to be on xbox one i no you can plug you sky box in to it but say you have no sky i loved sky go(player) on my 360

    Seems like a problem with the actual app itself. You would need to contact SKY as it's on the devs side.

    Hey there Lauren!

    Sorry to hear about this issue.

    You say that you have already contacted their support and they can't help in this instance, so let's see if there's anything Xbox-wise we can have you try that can help.

    Usually, if you have problems with an app or game doing the way that they should, then I would suggest the guide entitled “My Xbox One game won’t
    start or freezes during gameplay    ”. Although it denominates that it's for games but the troubleshooting helps for apps most times as well.

    If that doesn't help you, then I would go ahead and try what we call a soft reset of your console.

    It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

    Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(asthey
    will be removed) and have easy access to your internet network.

    Also make sure that you select the option denoted
    reset and keep my games and apps.

    Why the Xbox is the future of Television...

    For me the Oneguide is not a patch on the Sky guide I already have with my Sky box, so though the sky goes through the xbox, I still use Sky Guide

    no it won't be like that Boo as Sky have Sky Go allowed to be on 2-3 different devices. This is a Sky Go decision not Xbox

    Hi Luk396!

    From how I understand it, the only way to access Sky Go is through the TV from Sky app on Xbox One and Series X|S consoles.

    Xbox One and Series X|S console apps - some apps may not be available in your country/region.

    Set up TV from Sky on your Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S - step by step guide, which also mentions:

    Please be aware that Sky Go Extra is referred to as TV from Sky when downloading or selecting the app on your console.

    So don’t listen to anything that says you need the Sky Go app, as this app isn’t available on Xbox consoles. I believe you can access the service through the Sky app on Xbox One, as long as you’re connected to Xbox Live and have Sky Go Extra on your Sky account.

    The Sky Go app is available on compatible smartphones, tablets, laptops etc. Just not on consoles, which explains why you’re unable to find it on your Xbox One.

    Hi Tom, a SKY app on the XBOX would be cool, but designing for a platform that hasn't been released is always difficult. Not sure we would allow a MY SKY to plug into an XBOX however - kinda redundant given the MY SKY's abilities.
