SKY HD through XBox One

Think so , it did it once again this morning, pretty convinced its something to do with TV handshake thing, although switching off tv doesnt fix it , but pulling power plug out of xbox does.

 

This has happened to me a few times with my VM TiVo.

Like you say, I think its also something to do with the handshake. Most often it happens when the Virgin box is already on when turning on the Xbox. Usualy when I have my cockpit set up and the signal from the Kinect is blocked.

Also I believe that the sky box, like the TiVo outputs at 1080i rather than 1080p and I think then the Xbox gets muddled and something goes wrong as the Xbox outputs at 1080p. I think the Xbox is trying to change its resolution and gets stuck in some loop
or other.

 

Ive had same problem with loosing signal on hdmi but mine was connected through the virgin box and it dose it on any channel, i ened up unpluging it but missing the voice commands now nd having to find the remote all the tym which is a pain in the *** lol,
but if u find out what the problem was give us a shout pls if ya dont mind.

that will explain it on mine then i bet as mine is VM TiVo, id be watchig somet and then screen will go blank and then it will come up saying no signal and i have to turn xbox one off and on again to correct it.

I get that but i'm on Virgin Media .. happens now and then and i just leave it, although i have noticed if you send it home it tends to start playing the channel again.

Records everything fine when that happens so I leave it as is, Day One box and I don't trust MS with it lol
