SKY HD through XBox One

been using this for a month now (sky through the xbox one) and it really is great, but one issue that has popped up twice , is the xbox (or HDMI one ) signal would suddenly lose picture then come back,. I noticed (or timed it) this would happen every
6 seconds for 1 second.

If that wasnt interesting enough the sky box was frozen. Is it the sky box killing the xbox one, the xbox one killing the sky box, (as Barry M would say, just who shot who)

not a major issue just posting to see if anyone else had this issue and knows what causes it.

Sky Player - F1 channel?

So many questions to be asked, the main one is will the Xbox Sky Player receive the new F1 channel come march? Depending on having the right Sky subscription of course...

Another question is will Sky HD customers be able to receive the HD F1 channel without a Sky Sports subscription?

And assuming the Xbox Sky Player does receive the HD F1 channel, will it be played to you live through your Xbox? Or is there a time delay?

Also regarding interactive services, such as on-board camera views etc, how will this work through the Xbox? (If at all)

Xbox One UK TV

Does anyone know if the playing TV through the Xbox One thing will work in the UK with Sky+ HD ?

 

No sure whats causing that, hopefully someone here can help, had sky through mine since launch not had any trouble

Have you tried using a different hdmi cable to connect sky to the xbox? Ive just remembered mine did lag abit at first and the pictured froze at times whilst using a hdmi i cable i got for about £2, changed it to a high speed one and since then its worked
fine

mmm, will try, but as its exactly every 5 seconds, I doubt it can be the cable. odd isnt it.

 

I've no clue but maybe give Microsoft a call on 0800 587 1102 and see if they have any idea's?

 

Does the xbox still do it if you don't pass the Sky box through? If not may be worth trying another Sky box. Looks well annoying!

 

Cheap HDMI or expensive there's no difference they all send the same digital signal you either get a signal or you don't.

 

Changed HDMI, problem not gone away. Totally unplugging the xbox fixes it , but a right pain, and the frequency is getting worse, 3 times today already.... used to be once a week.

 

Seems ok since I played around with TV settings, pretty sure its a TV compatible issue. changed my output to PC and all seems good so far, what are other peoples TV settings ? only auto detect works for me , HDMI goes bonkers.

 

Think your Xbox one console HDMI sky HD connect next TV HDMI ... but Xbox one have see TV press sky HD setup auto will work.

I had a similiar problem with the old HD-DVD drive for the 360, but it only happend on one disc (Transformers) after looking it up on the net it turned out to be a HDCP (or whatever its called) problem. My TV was quite an old HD TV and couldnt handle having
to do the HDCP handshake every few minutes.

Maybe something similiar for you?
