Discus and support Sky app has stopped working. in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I was using sky go app on my xbox perfectly fine a few weeks back but now all of a sudden I get a error "Video playout error.     Sky app has stopped working.


    I was using sky go app on my xbox perfectly fine a few weeks back but now all of a sudden I get a error "Video playout error. We have had a problem playing this video as it requires HDCP for playback. Please check your HDMI connection supports HDCP and your
    TV was on at the time of the error occurred"

    I have done everything possible, uninstall and reinstall, changed hdmi cable, cleared cache... Everything.

    I need help fixing this, thank you.

    Can you let me know what troubleshooting steps you've applied already so we can save time in doing things you've already tried?

    Have you received any certain error issues with the Sky service? If there is, what does the error say? This is very valuable information.

    This has happened to my 360 as well. Another disappointing fail from microsoft and sky.

    Just another little error to try and frustrate everyone into giving up the 360 and the crappy sky go app.

    i bought the xb1 in the hope that i could use this function but again i was disappointed.

    The only way they are going to fix it is by making us purchase multiroom

    Sky & Amazon Prime Apps - Xbox 360

    I'm trying to use it to watch Sky TV over my internet connection.

    I've got a sky subscription, and they've said I can use the app rather than having to pay for a second Sky box for a second room.

    Problem is it won't download.

    Neither will Amazon Prime, both stop at 79%.

    Yet other apps, like Netflix and sky news downloaded fine. The Xbox works fine as far as I can see.

    I didn´t know there is a sky go app. In Germany we have only the sky ticket app which is sadly not for sky go. wish we would have the sky go app for the one...

    If you don´t get the app to work I would delete the app, clear the Cache of the console. Also do a power cycle and then reinstall the app. Hope you get the app working again.

    Hello I'm Daniel,

    Your sky go app may stop working because there're issues with the Cisco VideoGuard
    Monitor process running in the background. You should try uninstalling and reinstalling the process and see if this helps you fix your issue.
