    Skip Xbox Series X from turning off


    I just bought an Xbox Series X and the TV power options work like a charm with my 8 year-old TV and Sound system. I love the fact that I dont have to touch the TV's remote control and the TV turns on and off when I use/stop using my console.

    Sometimes I might want to continue watching the TV after gaming or the wife politely instructs me to stop playing since she wants to use the TV.

    Is there any gamepad hotkey combination or some other known trick for those few times that I would not want the TV to turn off, since I would like to keep the settings in my Xbox to turn it off all the other times?

    I have almost the same problem except the error message says

    “if you’re using Xbox series X/S, note that HDMI audio can’t be turned off. In other consoles, either optical or HDMI audio must be on. (0x80bd0009)

    Why can’t I turn off hdmi audio on Xbox series x it makes no sense?
