When will Skate 3 be available to be played on Xbox One? My son received this game for Chrismas and is anxious to play it.

This game has been announced as an upcoming title for Xbox One backward compatibility! However there is not a specific date. You can find the whole list of backward compatible games at

It's been around 4 to 5 months and the game is still not backwards compatible, you should really come out with a release date instead of taking out some games people don't even play

It was actually annouced several months ago that titles would not be given release dates for the backwards compatibility program. When they become available, they will be released at that point in time. Titles such as Skate 3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops
were announced as "Coming Soon", meaning a work in-progress. Please stay tuned to
Major Nelson's blog, the
backwards compatibility page, and the
Xbox News page for more information!

In regards to the games "people don't even play", the backwards compatibility program is not a popularity contest. Our voices are heards on the Xbox Feedback page, but votes will not guarantee BC status. The games that are being released more than likely
receive permission from the developers of the games quicker, with patches that are easier to implement, than with some of the other third-party AAA titles.

Is there a different Skate 3 that is backwards compatible? Everywhere I look it states that Skate 3 is backwards compatible... It's the third one down on the list of games on the Xbox.com/backcompat. What am I missing?

Unfortunately there is no information on when Skate 3 will come to Xbox One backwards compatibility. However you can still vote and comment on it's page on the

Skate 3 is not currently playable on Xbox One back wards compatibility however it is still in the works.

Unfortunately there is no timeline as to when Skate 3 will be released for backwards compatibility. Hopefully we will see it soon

For everyone that keeps asking if the game is backwards compatible:

It's a BC staple and they don't take games off the BC list.

Perform a hard reset on the console by powering it down completely, then press the power button while it's unplugged to reset the cache. Replug back together and then start the Xbox.

I played Skate 3 throughout an entire storm that took out the internet but not the power, so it's not a license thing, but this may help.

If all else fails, contact Xbox Support.
