Six months in.....(Venting frustration)

...and if i am totally honest i wish i had waited. and i feel let down. since launch i have had to wait for games to work, download updates all the time so my crappy broadband box is melting, find out the tv intergration is nothing like on the adverts or
the reveal and is still useless compared to the most basic of Freeeview boxes, kinect is useless 99% of the time, games are overpriced compared to those on 360, the media remote is useless, I have to spend another hundred quid on a hard drive as the internal
one is nearly full, Xbox video store is ridiculously expensive, my controller squeaks. What they should have done is release it now. This way its almost working. On the plus side I got sent £5 from Microsoft to say I am a valued customer. Never again Microsoft.

Some of the comments here are ridiculous. The guy had more important things to take care of during the preorder window and he's venting his frustrations of the console scalpers on a forum, so what?

 

Sell it then if your not happy with it. I do t understand why people use the TV part, what's the point in have two things running just a waste of electric, yeah games are exsopensive but they were on pretty every console that gets released, I agree about
the size of updates I remember wanting to play battlefield and it had to update about five gig which takes ages on my broadband , then the next day was another 3 gig one

Like I said though if your generally not happy stop spending money on the thing lol

 

Stupops, even if they released the One now there would be teething problems for the next six months! It's the way of the world pal but at least the last six months are out the way. Btw, am I the only person who only uses their One as a games console, a bluray
player and for Netflix? I don't use the snap function or the tv function... not sure whether I'm getting the most out of my £400 purchase but I'm still happy!

 

Nah I dont use the TV or snap much apart from "snap party" Only use it for games and dont use it for Netflix as I get a better quality HD picture from my Tivo box. Am I happy with it hell yea! The OP hasnt been happy since he bought it. Just sell
it and move on.

 

Don't use the tv function either,pretty much just play games on mine & use a couple of apps.

I'm very happy with my xbox one but i got mine for free so i can't complain can i ?

 

I've found that disconnecting from the Internet makes your games load on the ONE soooooooooo much faster.

Now that they've given us external storage I have loads of Next Gen games to choose from without waiting for anything but an update.

If the update is big I just play another game while it downloads and the wait is over in no time.

 

OP get a ps4, it works just like the ads

 

Honestly if I'd bought a PS 4 at launch I'd be kicking myself.

I'm not saying it's a bad investment in the long run but if I'd bought a PS 4 I'd be furious at the lack of next gen games at the moment.

I brought both consoles at launch and within a few months I sold my X1 but missed the online community so re-brought one. Yes the Xbox One has had a few teething problems but it was always going to happen and believe me the PS4 is not perfect.

Like Pingu said if you are really unhappy then sell it but I can bet you will regret it just like I did

The one thing i do miss is having more than a handful of friends to play with having built up a list for 7 years.
