Single Player vs Multiplayer

I forgot to mention that I do like co-op from time to time. I am eager to try co-op in Dying Light. I do enjoy mp games every once in a blue moon, but I tire of them really quick. Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare was really fun though. That is just an excellent
game.

Syndicate on the 360 is one of the best co-op games I've ever played.

 

Love my singleplayer, Fallout, Bioshock, Halo, any of TES (Oblivion kicks Skyrim's ***). Most recent campaign i enjoyed was probably Wolfenstein.

I just tend to take the same backseat chilled out approach to multiplayer as i do single. If i'm crap at a game (#IDARB) so be it, if i'm pretty good at a game (BF4) awesome!!!

You've just got to learn to not get annoyed if your not the best at PvP, everybody was lv1 once

 

as much as i dislike unnecessary multiplayer forced into great single player, it's a little disappointing that just cause 3 might not have at least a co-op mode. i probably wouldn't use it, but the potential for lets plays and whatnot is huge.

 

The Just Cause 2 multiplayer mod is excellent fun. I'm surprised they aren't adding something official for the third game.

 

They've done a brilliant job with "Evolve".

People were lining up to complain about it being "Multiplayer Only" while the developers poked fun at these people with a great big "You do realise you can play the whole game OFFLINE" on the game's website.

Where there are no humans fulfilling a role the game is full of very competant bots.

It's a great feature that allows you to explore and experiment at your leisure and dip into actual multiplayer as much or as little as you want.

It's not only great to have the option but you find yourself more inclined to take advantage of it because it's there and is a great advantage for you, the player.

Nice to see bots make such a brilliant comeback.

 

Xurts, you just described my gaming philosophy to the letter. Well not just, but when you wrote that. The trend seems to be more toward only multiplayer. Games like Evolve and Destiny will be skipped by me because sometimes I just want to do my own thing
and not worry about a party. Fallout is one of my favorite games ever, as are the Bioshocks and most of the Assassin's Creeds. I guess I'm part of a dying breed, and eventually will just have to accept the fact that every game is co-op. And not just co-op,
online only co-op. I wanted to play Saint's Row when my friend came over the other day but we couldn't because there's no split screen. And dont get me started on what gaming looks like when your internet goes down, even for single player. I guess I'm too
old for this

 

You can play the entire campaign on "Evolve" solo.

Don't be so quick to write that one off or you'll miss out on one of the better games of this current gen.

 

I know but everything I've read says it's better with friends. I'm plAnning to get it when it gets cheap though anyway

 

I think this was a big issue when it first started to happen 8 to 10 years ago. Now, the discussion seems a little too late.
