    Since the update, my X1 can't reliably log me in or connect to Live.


    Adding myself to this list. I am unable to sign in to anything. YouTube, Destiny, Battlefield; even the game store shows an error or not availability at the moment.

    My Current Network Status over the Network section in Settings, finally says:

    The following service is experiencing issues:

    .Social and Gaming

    For a more complete description go to xbox.com/status

    Once there, there's no answer just a "we're working on it" message. It's been about 3 days for me.

    I really hope this gets resolved soon.

    Just bought mine and am having this issue. Since Microsoft doesn't seem too interested in responding to any of this, thinking I should just take it back and get PS4. And they wonder why they're so far behind in sales.

    I'd be curious to see what type of router everyone is using and what their config is. I took my X1 to a friends house and it worked fine on wireless and wired. I'm using the Netgear R7000 myself and he had some older Netgear.

    I know it doesn't do much, but putting my name here as well. I've tried EVERYTHING (quite literally). For me it just suddenly started to happen. Came home and day and poof!.. nothing would work continuously. I've tried everything from a new router,
    port forwarded everything they say. Done all the resets support has you do (including a full system restore). Heck I've even thrown my xbox on the DMZ on my network so there's basically nothing that can stop it like a firewall or ports. I will occasionally
    get an hour of use randomly but then it will stop working. I can't get reliable use out of it!

    So the list of things I've tried:

    -new router

    -new modem

    -reset old router and xbox so it would be back exactly how it was prior to issue occurring

    -put xbox in DMZ

    -port forwarded everything

    -tried new cables between router and modem and router and xbox

    -performed all the resets support says to

    -set static IP and DNS address to verify it wasn't just the xbox randomly renew the IP

    -turned IPv6 off and on (heard Comcast has an issue with xbox and IPv6)

    -UPnP on and off, with and without port forwarding

    -tried wired and wireless

    I will get random spotty service that will work, then stop. Sometimes after making a change it'll work for a little while and I'll think its finally fixed. Then I'll try it once more and no dice... The intermittent issue is what REALLY bugs me. If it
    were a port or something with the firewall I would assume I would either connect or not connect. Not get service then stop, get service then stop. Its maddening.

    Here's the kicker though. When I bypass the router and go straight from modem to xbox, I don't have issues (either that or I've been really lucky/unlucky on the timing when it decides to work). But before people start going off and saying "Its your router
    than", that doesn't quite explain why all the port forwarding and heck putting it on the DMZ so it can face the internet completely unprotected doesn't work. To me with connecting it up with no security and no need for forwarding it should work, but it doesn't.

    That's all my 2 cents worth on this matter so others can read (and so I can just point support back to this forum article so avoid typing everything out again. haha)

    On a side note, I find it extremely odd/upsetting that the error codes listed in the first post don't show up when looking up error codes in the error code look-up.

    I've been receiving the same error for about a 2 week now. This is so *** ridiculous, how many people have to complain about this before they recognize it as a problem? All this thing does now is connect to my cable. So I spent $500 to just watch cable though

    I was just having the same problem, and turns out it was my wireless headphones causing interference with the wireless network. I turned them off everything was fine.

    I found this support article which lead me to the solution:

    I am hard wired, tried resetting everything and so on. I can get connected to xbox live if I go and test my connation from the setting page and then log out and log back in (or sometimes just testing it works). It is very unstable and doesn't seam to want
    to log me in all the time. What if funny is if I go to the network settings it says it is connected. This has only been happening after the OCT update.

    Sorry about the connection issues. Since everyone might have slightly different issues, I will do my best to give some good troubleshooting steps for everyone to go off of. If these steps do not resolve the issue, please create a new thread so we can provide
    support tailored specifically for each of you.

    • Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
    • Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
    • Power cycle your network hardware by unplugging the power cable from the back of the router, modem or gateway.
    • Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your Xbox Once console and your network hardware.
    • Power on your console and check to see if you are still experiencing connection issues.
    Again, give the suggested steps a try and create a new thread if you the steps provided doesn't resolve the issue!

    Do all of you have your TV receiver (Sat/Cable TV) hooked up to the XBOX One? I did, I had a DTV DVR hooked up. I troubleshot this the past 2 weekends with no luck. Had problems the weekend that the Last Update came out.

    I noticed that the Update included TV stability fixes, so I removed it from the equation. Massive improvement. I also deleted my profile, cold restart to clear the cache. Still have a few issues here and there but logging in is fast. Perhaps this has
    something with the one guide for TV.
