    My Xbox was on automatic updates. Must have been updating during work. I had the same problem as DarkDomer yesterday when I got home and I booted up my xbox one around 5pm-6pm. I had the factory reset thing and I was not able to pass the Network portion
    of the setup. I keep getting "Sorry, the wireless network hardware on this console isn't working". It's like there's no network hardware found at all. Now I have passed incredible hours trying to fix it on the phone and online.

    I tried :

    1. unplugging for 5 minutes and re-plugging everything.
    2. 5 second press on the X Button on the console to do a clean restart.
    3. Did the factory reset keeping all games using the (Bind) and (Eject) buttons.
    4. Did the factory reset cleaning everything.
    5. Did the complete OFFLINE installation using the USB key.

    Since that update, in each situation, I WAS NOT ABLE to pass the network configuration at all. My console is literally a paperweight. Weird since I was playing The Division the day before with some friends. The only way they could fix this, for people having
    the same issue as me, would be to bypass the network configuration during the process to complete the installation, but i doubt this would fix the NETWORK hardware issue. Was that a regular OS update or a firmware update as well ?!?

    Anyways, I have lost 500 gigs of Free and complete games. I still have some games on my external hard drive and i was lucky enough to have a second XBOX but not on Automatic Updates. So my second XBOX was safe from all that crap.

    The Xbox representative told me this : "Since this is a known issue and are aware of this one, we have raised this to our engineers and they are doing their best to sort this issue right away.

    So I'm guessing for those who has the Network problem, we'll have to wait.

    Since then , anybody got news about that issue ?

  2. Xbox One restarts after I type in wifi password please help!

    If this is on an initial setup of a new box, I had the same problem when installing a second new XBox One S upstairs at my home. Here is how I overcame it.

    1.) Hook the box up to a wired Ethernet connection with internet access

    2.) Complete the initial setup and updates.

    3.) Take the box back to the place you want it setup (for me this was upstairs)

    4.) Go into settings and setup the wifi....for me, it did not reboot when entering the wifi password in this manner and everything works just fine via wifi since then.

    New XBOX 1S won't update right out of the box

    Carrie,

    If it happened to 2 different Xboxes it has nothing to do with the console. Your console is needs several settings from your router that a lot of items in your house don't use. If one of these settings is not being detected by your Xbox it could be a variety
    of issues from Wireless interference to a simple reboot of your router for 5 min. I'm including a link with several solutions you can use to help you figure it out.

    OK so today just got on with another representative Valyn M. Basically was totally BS and disgusting. Gave her the case number and everything , all the info.

    She basically says this : "Okay. But if this still didn't work what we have to do is to have your console repair. Because upon checking on my end we are only getting an issue about the Xbox one Update then loosing their profiles. Are you alright with doing
    a repair order again but with the correct console this time ?"

    I said , i'm not paying for this, and then she backs up.

    She then adds: "I understand that this important to you, However, upon checking on my resources, we are not receiving an issue about this after updating their console. However what problems we are encountering right now is after updating the console they
    were prompted to start again as new users of Xbox , But that was being fix as well."

    Now i feel like Microsoft and Xbox just want to slip their way out of this.

    (Valyn M) "I see, I know that the previous agent say so, it must be they were update first before us, because we are yet to receive an update from our higher advocacy about this, But what we really can do is for your console to be repaired, since you have
    done all the possible troubleshooting that may have worked just doing them. However they still didn't work and that leaves us an option of having the console repaired."

    I responded with this : With all due respect, i'm not paying for a problem cause after Microsoft's update. They shouldn't never have done this update , if it was not perfect.

    As soon as i say that i'm not paying for this she answers with :

    " I understand that, But what we can do is to wait for the previous agent to notify you about this update since the case is still open. I will have to send this as well to our higher advocacy about this, to have this fix. "

    (Valyn M) "Yes, Upon pulling up the link I was having a problem reloading it that is why I didn't get to respond about this I have been trying to reload the moment you have sent it to me. It must have been from the IP address of the link. But rest assured
    that I will be forwarding this to our higher advocacy to have this investigated and fix, What just have to do is wait for an update coming from the previous agent about this."

    That was the end of the conversation.

    I had my xbox unplugged since last Friday. Some of the guys who had the same issues with the Network problem actually told me it was fixed since yesterday.

    Just plugged it in tried and nothing worked. I Talk to a representative (Jeanlyn) who sent me to a Manager (Rizzah) after 1 hour of crap. Did all the setup , formatting, downloading OSU1 and OSU2... nothing. Since that update , my xbox is a paperweight.
    I took 3 hours to talk to the god damn manager who finally told me to send it to repair... I lost it... I can't believe that they want me to pay for a problem they caused. I took a hammer and destroyed it. I'm not sending this sh*t console to repair. Forget
    it. I don't care. They played me till the end. Since that update, i have lost everything on that 1to console. All my downloads/saves/videos. I'm not wasting I second trying to fix this.

    Thank you XBOX and MICROSOFT for nothing.

    What a disgusting service.....

    Panasonic TV will not switch on with "XBOX ON" command

    Hi.

    Just wanted to close this problem off. It appears that since the 1406 update preview the Panny now turns on and off as expected with the xbox one.

    Thank you Microsoft and to the guys who responded to my initial question.

    Now though I have my eye on a new Sony 55" tellybox. Hopefully that "xbox on" command will work out the box :)
