Since the backward compatibility update I can not access my main account on the Xbox one

I have already called the xbox support team 3 times spending about an hour on each call. The problem is that whenever I attempt to sign in it will just send me back to the home screen without anyone logged in. It is strange because all other account on
the xbox work fine. I have also attempted to sign in to this account on my friends xbox and the same thing would happen. Also I was have attempted multiple times to remove and add the account; it doesn't work. Whenever i would try to add my account back
on it would have the loading screen then the xbox would turn off. But when i rebooted the console the account appeared to be there without the gamer pic, appearing to be fine. So i called Microsoft, they told me that the only thing that could solve this problem
is to factory reset my console; so I did. IT DIDN'T WORK. I have made a temporary account for now, but i would really like to solve this problem.

Xbox Silver can play online now?

Unless something changed xbox ones with multiple accounts can share gold. So I have an account v3 on my home xbox that can have gold access due to having gold on the one. Not sure how it works with backwards compatibility.

In 2011 I had my main account banned. Subsequently I created a new account and continued to play Xbox. On my banned account I believe I have purchased DLC that I was still allowed to play on my 360. Since backwards compatibility for certain games is now
available on the One, I have been playing a few old 360 games but haven't been able to access the DLC content since it was not purchased on my account.

As I was young at the time, I wasn't aware you could appeal the ban in a case review, however I am now aware of this process but as the ban was in 2011, I cannot submit a request due to it being over 12 months since the ban. I am looking for support so I
can see if I can access the DLC content to play on the Xbox One. To do this I would need to access my account on the Xbox One and redownload the DLC content and use the sharing settings on the One to access it on my now main and current account.

Do you have access to a 360? It's a long shot but it's possible that signing in on a 360 would revalidate your account allowing you to sign in on your Xbox one. Not for sure on that one, but it's worth a try.

Wow, that's a really odd issue. Unfortunately the symptoms you describe suggest an account related issue that we cannot assist with on the forums.

Please give phone support another call and ask them to check for issues with the account. You may have to have the call escalated to a trouble shooting team.

sounds like acct ban to me. som ppl with banned accts would get their xbox locked out

ofc not that i kno anything about that but if your 360 wont validate your acct go to your acct settings and check if xbox team might hav "accidently" taken action to disable your acct

 

I could log in on the 360 but it didnt make a different affect on the Xbox one

 

Any new solutionssite that anybody has found in don't know how to link the parent account

Base from what's happening with your account. It seems that your account is a child account that was removed from a family or from a parental account by force or due to the parent account being inactive. If the account is still considered as child by the
system, then you will definitely get issues like this one especially on the xbox one.

If you still know the original parent account, you could try to sign in that account on the xbox one console then try to re-add your account on the Family tab settings. But this is not a guaranteed work around. If this fails, I would suggest contacting support
so they could verify your account and check if the account has been removed from a previous family setting. From there, they might be able to escalate the case to a higher team to re-add the original parent email or a new one.
