Since the app update today I can't stream

Since the app update today I can't stream from my Xbox One. I've streamed multiple times each day before and even this morning.The app turns on and connects to my Xbox One, but I get an error message (below) telling me that game streaming is turned off on
my console. I've checked my console and streaming is turned on. I've chatted two times with support earlier. With them, I've cleared my Alternate MAC address on the Xbox One, but that did not help. I went to Windows update on my PC and updated, but nothing.
I did the stickied 'work around' which did not help. I've restarted my computer and Xbox One a lot of times as well. Anything else I should try?

"Game streaming is turned off on your Xbox One. To your it back on, go to your console and open Settings > Preferences."

its telling me the same thing when i try to watch a twitch stream since the apps update today on xb1

 

Letterbox issue

I just had an update on my xbox one, I do not have a hd tv so I stream to my laptop using the Xbox app. I have been using the app in this way for nearly a year with no issues. Since the update today I am getting a letterbox screen with no apparent way to
change it back. I have tried all resolution options on my laptop that is available and I have tried changing the resolution on the Xbox (there is only one option (640 x 480)). I also cannot find an option in settings on the app itself.

 

Hi JC, A couple of things to try. Try forgetting the console and reentering the IP address, if that still doesn't work rename the console and repeat. I was able to get my game streaming working after that. If the issue still continues try DL the Xbox
App (Beta) version. Just go to the store on your PC and search for "Xbox App Beta" and see if anything changes for Beta version is running a newer version. If that still doesn't work please report the issue via Xbox App Beta using the "Report a problem"
so a report is generated and sent to the developers to investigate. In the mean-time I will call this our in our reports so the developers are alerted this issue is being observed.

Tried everything - wired connection to router, forgetting console, reinstalling windows... version 15.15.22005.00000 just doesnt work to stream games.

ironically the app for my ps works fine streaming games.

Now the app will not even open, Ugh! I uninstalled via PowerShell method and I even ran the System File Checker. Uninstalling and reinstalling did not fix and SFC did not find any "integrity violations".

Did you have a chance to report this issue using the Beta version of the Xbox App? We can ask the development team to investigate this further, unfortunately, I'm not aware of any other workarounds to try at this point.
