Since October 2018 update Xbox One upload is being throttled to a tiny fraction.

It is definite Microsoft Xbox One update causing the issue. Tried on 3 consoles tested. Wired into network Cat 6 new cables and even direct to the modem.

I get the service up and download speeds on every other device but only the Xbox One console has the issue.

On all other devices and computers wired in network I get at least 430mb down and at least 43mb upload.

Only on any Xbox One tested I get 430 download but only 9mb upload. This of course will cause gaming issues and app issues like streaming. Fact is if your upload is weak? You will not register the score in the game even though you know you got the score before
the opponent.

No it's not the router as again I went directly to modem bypassing gaming router and same results.

If I turn on QOS then my download speed will drop less than 200mb and upload will stabilize to around 25mb as the gaming router is adjusting the different but then download issue now I will not be in the same traffic lane I pay for. Did all the resets as support
will tell you to do all that but of course they know it won't change and the problem will still exist and costing consumers time, money etc. , made sure all ports open and the DMZ on xbox and router all that that still will not change the situation.

Also when turning on QOS it doeas not affect any other device and they still get proper upload and download speeds. Tru the QOS is worthless on anything above 200B service but it does raise a stabilize the uploads on;y a bit.

Still the QOS should be desabled and XBox One console should also be getting same upload and download speeds as every other device on the network. Again I also went strat to modem meaning nothing else on the service and same low upload speeds.

My ISP will put in writing it's not them blaming Microsoft Xbox One update. My ISP does not throttle Xbox Live service period. Not upload or download.

So Microsoft how are you going to fix the problem? It's totally on you.

Please no one ask me to do this and that as like I said all that has been done. It's the Xbox October 2018 update and others having the exact same problem. Yes I also tried speed test on app side of console showing proper download and about 30 upload at the
same server everything else I test on the network and the upload is a little better but not close to what it should be. My gaming side of the console upload is weak and it shows in games as well. Example If I connect to dalls at 200mb service I will get about
27ping which should have been like 17 ping like before. Even now at over 400mb service the ping still at 27 to F2 Dallas server and in game will rise to 54-60 and should have dropped to around 7-11 ping. Ping shows you uplod speeds by the way and the worse
the upload speeds? then more latency occurs. If you play Battlefield 1? No change there either when I had 54-60 ping also int heir servers and expect at least half of that with new ISP service speeds. So roughly Microsoft is throttling my speed upload. Maybe
because I prove the massive hackers on the service and them doing nothing about it which has destroyed game lobbies in games now gamers can't play because forced to abandon those games like many COD games etc. Proven fact. Yea Microsoft I want full refund
of those games and DLC's you allowed hackers to destroy my investments by letting them play. I can prove it all day everyday. I am pretty sure MS purposely throttled my upload speeds because they know I can prove massive hackers in lobbies and they want to
try to blame my upload speeds which were NOT a problem before update in October. Geez it's not like I can't prove all the mod hackers destroying the games on video. smh.

Geez the feds need to get involved if MS is not going to clean up the service. Clean gamers Literally billions of dollars a year lost due to MS not cleaning up the service from hackers destroying lobbies making gamers not wanting to play anymore because you
can't beat a hacker modding a lobby and darn near every lobby has hackers now especially since cross platforming. Also intercontinental playing? You can't apply our federal laws on hackers in other countries. Therefore it is on Microsoft to do either of 2
things. Ban all the hackers permanently as they can instantly when they apply the mod tools on the console or the XBox win10 PC app or stop cross country playing. Period! If I am forced to stop playing on the service? I will be wanting full damages of game
investment losses since day one l signed on like 12 yrs ago and I will take it federal and media.

Didn't work. Same results. Weak upload even wired direct to modem bypassing the router.

Everything else connected to the network readings up and down is what I paid for except the xbox one.

Tried 3 consoles and one still new in box.

Did even the reset / restore which everyone has done this who are many having the problem since Oct 2018 update.

I'm on Suddenlink and Cox forums have complaints as well exact same issue exact same time.

Cox on their support said they do not throttle box or any service. Suddenlink says the same.

Not my network, cables or anything on my side. All in the Xbox Consoles lost upload speed since after updating consoles.

When I do speed test in detail network statistics I get 430mb download but weak upload speed 9mb-13mb. Should be at least 43 but I would even settle for 40mb upload.

Again only the box console and I tried 3 one brand new in the box as well direct wired to modem and same exact results.

I go on Xbox Forums and people having same issues.

The result of sloppy upload speeds affect streaming games and even not streaming causes slower speed to get that score on opponents. Also noticeable is ping should have dropped in half when I upgraded my service. It literally did not change in any game lobby
I can read ping in. Not BF1, Not Titanfall 2 and that one I should be getting 7-11 ping.

With all those complaining and doing all the things told to us even resets and restore to consoles, having ISP tech out and they all agree. It's the console which I and everyone else says from since that update.

This is why I don't buy new games because it's a waste of money. Also the fact hackers modding lobbies destroyed games unplayable due to so many hacking game lobbies.

So with all this said my investment has been wasted and pretty much stolen from me and others due to XBL is most likely throttling my main ISP IP address upload putting me in a slow lane traffic and of course I will not get the score in games. This really
shows in Battlefield and Starwars games where that upload speed is very necessary.

No way can I compete for prizes either in online competition lobbies. This also has e thinking why so many consumers consoles uploads being throttled by XBL but some some not. So definitely not my very expensive gaming networking and ISP service. It's on Microsoft
and the XBL service. Let's get this resolved now because by May when my subscription comes up? I'm taking serious action to recover all my losses and I will win. I document everything for years and made videos of these issues.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

While the console is off reset the modem and router to by unplugging them for a couple of minutes. Once everything is back up and operational try again.

How are the rest of your devices, PC's, Laptop, etc performing on a speed test?

Just open a browser and go to speedtest.net and run the test. If you have a PC, download the Speedtest app, as its way better and tests jitter and what not. Its also available in the iTunes appstore if you have something made by Apple.

I suspect you'll be close to the 300/25 on everything but the Xbox Ones.

My laptop speed test is right on, as HD my cell and tablet test all good. I have done the cache clean up and done a factory reset. Did not resolve the issue. I am also running open nat past network wall. It has been just fine until the update.

Thanks for the fast reply. I doubt my router is the issue as everything else is working splendidly in my somewhat large home office. I'll reset my Xbones only as a last resort as that's quite painful. (Plus there's two of them doing this... so I doubt
its a double failed update. Also no other issues)

Would you mind reporting this up the chain? Most users wouldnt notice this issue unless they heavily monitor their internet as I do, as I depend on it to make a living.
