    Since 3/1/2021 OG Xbox one turns on by itself randomly along with a random ejecting disk drive


    My Xbox is up to date since the first of this month. Since then this Xbox has been turning on randomly and at various points once shut off. I do not have it set for automatic updates, I've cleaned the capacitive power button panel. As well as a method including clearing persistent storage 3 times, power cycling along with unplugging power(till the brick shows no light). The disk drive will randomly be heard(I've generally had a disc in the Xbox, till this week), notably at times when powering down. Worried that I won't be able to play games that require a disc with the randomness of that issue. Pretty strange as I've had this Xbox since 2015. Not had an issue that I couldn't manage till now. The powering on issue is mainly my focus, as having read into other threads similar im not sure what could be done. I unplug the Xbox before going to bed just to keep it from repeating the routine.

    Xbox Slim will turn off at random...

    My xbox 360 slim will do something similar. It seems to beep at random times, the beep sound is the same as the eject or on/off sound. Most of the time the xbox will stay on and have no problems however sometimes it will just turn off or the disk tray will
    open. I really want to know what is causing this! Haha. If the brick is not unplugged then the xbox will turn itself on and open the disk tray by itself, also randomly. The most worrying thing for me is that it makes the noise at random in and out of game
    play and seems to be harmless except for the few times its opened the disk drive.

    i have the same problem with my xbox one. i found that if you take the disk out after playing, the xbox will not turn on by itself but you can still here the eject noise while its off sometimes. it still ejects my disk by itself also while im playing a game

    Never turn the XBOX off with gears 3. Always eject the disk if it freezes. If the disk won't eject then power off.

    I have sort of the same problem but mine is that the console turns on by itself randomly and my eject button doesnt work but sometimes it does.
