Simultaneously Downloads for Xbox Apps and Games

hi, I was thinking about how when we download an app or game to our consoles about why don’t we have simultaneous downloading options. I think this would be a great update to have in the future!

Great shout.
When/ if it comes to the UK I'll definitely give it a try. When I heard about Xbox supporting 16 smartglass devices simultaneously I mentioned that it would be great for this sort of game, party games where everyone can just download an app to the device they are comfortable using ( many family members have no idea when it comes to a controller) and get involved.

The only real obstacle is that smartglass requires an account to use, they need to enable guest logins or similar.

Hi Felix,

I managed to fix this by uninstalling the game again, resetting the windows store, updating the Xbox Game Pass app and then downloading the game through the XGP app rather than Window's store, although I notice that they both run simultaneously. I was also
careful not to hit "play game" before the download had finished completely. Hopefully this advice will help others, especially those in China.

Can you explain how I can download the update first? Because I only can download it simultaneously with installing the game.

This past week, a number of new updates to popular games, releases of new backwards-compatible titles and other game promotions occurred simultaneously. This generated a tremendous response from fans and in some cases, users experienced slower than normal
download speeds. Happy to report that they should now be seeing improvements.

Sounds like you have solved your issue yourself. When doing the install from a disc the game is doing the install and downloading the game updates simultaneously.
