    Sims 4 on Xbox One


    Hi all,

    My son has bought a Sims 4 game on disc. He installed it but it will not launch when the Xbox is online - It says that an update is needed but that “it’s not possible now, please try again later”

    If we take the Xbox offline, the game will launch and he can play it, but if he then goes online, the game immediately crashes and returns to the Xbox Home Screen.

    We have tried many things…

    Console updates, (there were none).

    Multiple power cycles,

    Console reset, (keeping games & data),

    Multiple uninstalls and reinstalls.

    We can’t find any help anywhere for this problem - Has anyone else experienced this behaviour?

    Does anyone know how to resolve the issue?

    Thank you for keeping us updated. Looking at the Xbox store for The Sims 4, it looks like it is only compatible with Xbox One. Check out this link for a description involving the game's capabilities and what platforms its available on: The

    If The Sims 4 is available on PC, it is not through the Microsoft/Xbox store, unfortunately. They may have there own client or use a different PC platform like Steam.

    I totally understand the importance of getting your Cloths Pack in Sims 4 as soon as possible. Based on the description itself, this is more likely an in-game issue with the Sims 4.

    We highly recommend consulting this directly to Sims 4 community support. Unfortunately, I am not capable in pulling up the Sims 4 support forum due to policy and restrictions, but you can get the page by searching "Sims 4 support" in bing.com or other search engines.

    How difficult would it be to bring a game like Civilization or SimCity to Xbone?

    Would live to see the sims 3 the sims 4 and the sims city game come to xbox 1 the sims 3 is already on xbox 360 and EA makes the sims on a w.i.d.e variety of platforms.
