    Ps4 and xbox both require a paid membership to play online so i doubt the other posters solution will solve your issue

    Fyi both sony and xbox have another solution if you dont want subscriptions

    You buy prepaid subscription cards As they dont have autorenewalbut not always on sale and not as cheap as like 30 %off yearly or sometimes 1dollar per month but you dont have a subscription them

    You can always cancel autorenewal but like all gaming services cancelation is your duty not the servicea

    If you have the sat TV device plugged into your Xbox One's HDMI input, you can begin setting up live TV by going to "My Games & Apps", move down to "Apps", and open "OneGuide".

    Follow the steps in OneGuide to set up your live TV.

    Try making sure the switch on you AV cords are switched from Regular tv to HDTV sometimes its the simple fixes if you were using the it on the tv before and that switch wasn't changed back it may well be what you need !

    The most frustrating thing about the Xbox, has nothing to do with gaming(what I'd like to see, functionality-wise)

    Some very valid points there dude, totally agree with you. I have no answers as of why. I have a little nano pc I use for Facebook and forums, also I watch recorded/downloaded TV on it ( The TV license can kiss my a$$ ), I also like to play about with photo's,
    however I don't use raw, but simple cropping would be cool. Even being able to switch it into a simple PC mode would be sweet. IE is not fun, also I still haven't figured out how to use the *** thing. As my PC is hooked up to my TV it's no biggy. However like
    you have mentioned, being able to do a few simple tasks would be sweet.

    I have heard of this situation with some TVS mostly with either smart tvs that are connected on the same internet connection and are set to change to new signal when a new video source is detected. I would suggest checking the TV's in question to make sure
    it's not the case of them looking for the device via internet connection or has the setting on of (switch to new signal when detected).

    To assist you further on this we would need to know the TV models in question that are switching channels though. There is of course other tv's that do switch to new video source when detected so if you're using a HDMI splitter to switch between rooms ect
    that would also explain it as well,
