SIM racing equipment Xbox SDK update (2023Q4)

Dear Xbox Team,

There have been numerous requests from the community since the beginning of the previous decade to have Xbox create and implement a Software Development Kit that enables 3rd party sim equipment manufacturers (like Fanatec, Thrustmaster, Logitech, Moza etc.) to utilize and make more inputs / outputs possible for their wheels than the standard layout and number of buttons that the Xbox controller permits.

Now we have seen from Mr. John-Ray Ingalla that for the new Forza Motorsport game Turn 10, Designed for Xbox and a few equipment manufacturers are co-operating in achieveing the above mentioned dream for the console sim community.

Does this official post imply that there will be a new SDK in place from now on for other sim racing titles and equipment manufacturers to implement and take advantage of in their games to bring full compatibility to the masses, or this olive branch is restricted only to Forza Motorsport (2023)?

I hope Xbox could finally unlock this gate for the community so more people can enjoy the immersion as it was meant to be.

Hello MrManiacNF, as the update is recent there may be some incompatibilities with some equipment, we have not yet verified similar reports, however be sure to check the update of the equipment on the manufacturer's website.

Of course having lines & rewinds make it less of a sim.

The clue is in the word "sim".

It's meant to simulate what it's like to be a racing driver & racing real race spec cars around real race tracks.

You don't get racing lines & rewinds in real life when racing.

Forza is not a sim.

I have raced some of the cars in Forza & it's more of an arcade racer.

The April xbox update killed the Logitech shifter in forza horizon 4 and forza 7

Others and I reported this to MS recently, but no fix as of yet. - https://forums.forza.net/t/wheels-logitech-g29-shifter-not-detected/599505

My racing sim setup at home uses both those games and was working fine up until the April xbox one update.

Now my racing sim setup is useless to me, I'm stuck playing forza 6 till MS fixes this issue if they ever do
