Silent Hills (Why the S?)

As a life long fan of the Franchise, I was stoked to see a new Silent Hill game and even more excited when I seen Hideo Kojima as the lead developer... But I had a bit of a gut wrenching moment when I seen the PS4 logo plastered all over it and all of the
Sony fan boys commenting on how it's an exclusive to Playstation. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but after the Tomb Raider exclusive garbage, it wouldn't surprise me if Sony does everything in their power to make this an exclusive.

Personally, I think it's completely wrong that a AAA game that's been on both the Xbox on PS for years, can just be bought out and made an exclusive like this, because not everyone has the money to buy both and for the likes of me, I'm happy with just the
one. This will ruin gaming for a lot of people, if it continues.

I liked the demo. It gave me a bit more scare than the last five Silent Hill games. Based on my one-word reviews below, I'm not feeling too bad about the game being cancelled.

I just noticed that you're currently playing the " Silent Hill HD Collection " at the time of this posting. Silent Hill 3 is my all time favorite in the series and I only just recently played it on the Xbox 360 on the account that I never owned a PS2. I
played Silent Hill 1, Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill Homecoming, and about 50% of Silent Hill 4 The Room. Silent Hill 3 is absolutely awesome! Silent Hill 1 is my second favorite game in the series which is followed by Silent Hill 2 in third place

Ehh blame microsoft for starting this trend!!

 

i'd have to say that Sony started that trend, something about a Destiny moon mission that is exclusive until late next year or something (i personally don't care).

but this will most likely still make it to Xbox, there have been several games recently that don't mention anything about Xbox, but then announces it later, like Diablo 3.

 

Sony doesn't have the money like MS has. Sony might have a deal to not talk about the xbox like they did with diablo 3.

 

and watching the teaser, maybe Silent Hills takes a turn for the science fiction and will have parallel universes... spooky...

 

exclusive or not .. Silent Hill hasn't had a big seller in a very long time .... so if they do throw all their eggs in this basket, i wouldn't expect much. true with Hideo and Norman Reedus it'll probably do better than most but Silent Hill hasn't been
a "top dog" in the gaming biz in a long time. at any rate, i want it lol

 

Let's not jump to conclusions...Yesterdays debacle with Tomb Raider was enough. With Hideo and Del Toro doing this together, it definitely has some great potential.

 

The fact that you guys think one side or the other started this so-called "trend" is something I find quite laughable. Exclusivity with certain video games is something that's been going on since the invention of well, video games... Just one example: Sega
had Sonic, Nintendo had Mario and Zelda.

They've always been exclusive to that specific console. I was ok with Titanfall and The Last Of Us being exclusives, because they're new games built for that console. I'm concerned about the AAA multi platform titles being made exclusives for one platform.

 

So far Silent Hills wasn't announced to be exclusive.I even saw a trailer without any console logo.(maybe won't be release on any platform)

Having Hideo Kojima + a movie director (Guillermo Del Toro), i guess will be tons of cinematics and cut scenes.

 

Tomb Raider is a timed exclusive. So if this new silent hill game is exclusive to ps4, i would think it would just be another timed exclusive.

Honestly, it wouldn't even effect me if it was exclusive. I never could get into the silent hill games for some reason.

 

Played the PT demo on PS4 and it looks great and is f'n scary!!! Looking forward to Silent Hill even more now!!

 

This is why it's easier to own all the consoles, though in this case it should be a multiplat imo.
