    Silent Hill HD Collection is not working for me? "Do you own this game or app"


    I recently purchased Silent Hill HD Collection because it was on sale but it won't let me play it. It keeps saying I don't own the game and to sign into the account that purchased it or insert a disc.

    I checked my order history and it said the order was complete, it even charged my card too. The game doesn't even show up in my "owned games" tab on my xbox, and when I look at the game in the xbox store it says I never bought it despite charging me $8.11

    I already tried restarting my console and signing in and out of my account as well and it still doesn't launch.

    Is there anything else I can do for it to work? or is there a problem going on with backward compatible titles at the moment? I just really want to replay Silent Hill 2 again and I hope I can resolve this issue since I basically paid for nothing.

    Which Silent Hill game are you referring to?

    Silent Hill HD Collection, Silent Hill Homecoming or Silent Hill Downpour?

    And are you playing the games on an original Xbox 360 console, or are you playing these emulated on the Xbox One through Backwards compatibility?

    I highly recommend following the troubleshooting steps here:

    After each step try to see if the issue is fixed!

    First, please select System > Settings > account > remove accounts and then select your account and select Remove to confirm.

    Then, hold down the power button for about 10 seconds, until the console shuts off, then unplug the power cord and wait for 2 to 3 minutes before plugging it back in and turn on the Xbox.

    If the issue persists, please try to check your games in the order games history in this following website : Microsoft account | Home

    If you are still encountering the same issue, please select System > Settings > System > Console info > Select Reset console > Choose Reset and keep my games and apps.

    Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

    I just did all the steps including the factory reset with keeping my games, and it still didn't work :(

    I was raised to be polite and articulate, hence that is my personality :) Please understand that I am simply stating this "OldPepsiMan" and it is not in any way shape or form a negative response to your comment regarding my post :) I noticed that you've
    played the Silent Hill HD Collection also, I love Silent Hill 3 (I have no comparison point to the PS2 version because I've never owned a PS2; so I wasn't able to notice any of the differences between the PS2 version & the Xbox 360 version). Silent Hill 3
    is my #1 all time favorite ever, followed by Silent Hill 1 (PS1) then by Silent Hill 2 Restless Dreams (original Xbox). I haven't played Silent Hill 2 in the HD Collection (nor will I ever play it because from what I've seen in youtube, the original Xbox
    version is much better than the HD version). If you don't mind me asking, which game did you play in the Silent Hill HD Collection? Have a good day or afternoon or night everyone! :)
