Silent Hill: Anniversary Collection (If they made it, would you buy it?)

Imagine IF they made this...

This collection contains Silent Hill 1, Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams, and Silent Hill 3 with uprgraded graphics (similar to Halo 2 Anniversary) but the same exact gameplay / mechanics.

A "Silent Hill Definitive Collection" (Silent Hill 1, 2, and 3 anniversay treatment remake) for the Xbox One would be an instant buy for me

Silent Hill HD Collection is available on the 360, which includes SH1 and 2. They are fun to go back to, but the controls are just hideous. Everything is controlled by the left thumbstick - both direction and movement. It's utterly terrible.

yeah? Hmm I attempted to play SH2 in the HD Collection and I guess if one is fine with controlling looking and movement with one thumbstick then maybe it's just fine. After about an hour my left thumb was a bit tired. I didn't really even need my right
hand for a majority of the game.

 

I never really played Silent Hill, but I would!

 

I would buy it. I have bad memories of SH HD Collection but if it was done better this time around, I would certainly get them.

 

I haven't played much of the SH games, but from what I have played, it has been incredibly difficult and scary. I'm more familiar with the
, which IMO, was pretty good overall...

Wasn't Silent Hill HD collection a REALLY bad port on the Xbox version? I heard PS3 was bad but got patched. I would've bought it but been put off from it.

 

Ah the Silent Hill series, never really "got" the games, played SH1 & SH2 and just thought they were dull, tedious and boring.

Personally I think some games should be left in the time that they were populour, look at the Metal Gear franchise, I bought the HD versions for the 360 because I loved MGS2 on the PS2. Tried to play them now and they are pretty average at best and downright
terrible at worst.

However the new MGS on the Xbox One is awesome, and that is how I think they should do a Silent Hill game. Leave the old games in the past and do a completely new Silent Hill game from scratch.

I have the Silent Hill HD Collection & I only played Silent Hill 3 because it is the only one that I haven't played yet (I never had a PS2). The only problem that I havd with Silent Hill 3 was that after seeing the comparision of the original voice actress
of Heather & the actress that was used in the HD Collection, the original voice actress was WAY better (but the one that was used for the HD Collection was "okay").
