Signing up to Xbox Insider for controller updates specifically

Have you taken a look at the Troubleshoot issues with an Xbox Wireless Controller support page?

Also it is worth asking are you a member of the Xbox Insider System Update previews? You would have signed up via the Xbox
Insider Hub app if you are not sure.

Fixed on xbox one


go to the store and type in: “Xbox insider”

download insider app, open it and from there select the early update.



once done restart Xbox. goto settings, system, updates... update xbox.

With respect, it is not fixed on Xbox One, if the fix requires an end user to sign up to be an insider, ( translated to beta tester )

And,, after actually doing the insider thing to find there is not an update.

No one has suggested you look at the Xbox One Wireless Controller Solution support page. There are steps to follow with sollutions
to try.

Occasionally my controller blinks when trying to start up the console but this is often fixed once I manually switch on the Xbox One or I have connected my controller via the Play & Charge cable. I have not experienced any disconnects mid-gaming.

Just wondering are you using the public OS build or are you signed up for the System Updates that are part of the Xbox Insider program? You will know by checking the Insider Content section of the Xbox Insider Hub app if it is installed.
