Signing out and linking accounts

I’m trying to get my son’s Fortnite account on my Xbox.

He has created two separate accounts, one on the Xbox he has at another house, and one he has on my Xbox.

He wants to sign out of the account on my Xbox and sign into his other account so he can play on the same account on both consoles. I can’t find the email to log into epicgames.com and disconnect that profile from my Xbox.

Does anyone have a solution?

I am sorry to hear that.

We can only link one Microsoft Account to one Epic Account.

We can't check this on the Xbox platform, it is done on the Epic webpage.

Please, enter Epic website: epicgames.com/account/connected

Go to Your Name > Account > Connections > Accounts

If you still can't link your Microsoft account, you will need to open a support ticket with Epic support.

Unfortunately you can't just sign out and then sign it back in with another account. It just gives a dialogue saying that the account is already linked(even though it's signed out/unlinked) and then you can't play multiplayer permanently because you're
locked out of being able to sign in after that.

I've managed to recover the account via my login, but when I sign in and goto Account Security it gives me a code 8015D080 error.

the only way to find that out is signing into those specific services with that account, your account is linked on their services not microsofts.

Instructions are in the link I posted earlier. Basically just sign into the new console with the account that owns everything, go through the instructions to set is as the Home console for that account, then that account can be signed out and the other son can sign back in.
