Signing me out, controller with not stay connected.

I have had my X-box one since Sept 2015. Ever since day one I have had nothing but issues with my controller not staying connected. This machine will also log me off. I have tried new batteries, I have tried New controllers, I have tried USB cables. My
Gold membership is set to renew and I keep asking my self why would I spend the money. Since day one I have been lucky if I can play for a max of 20 minutes before it kicks me off line, logs me out or the controller stops being connected. I have been complaining
about this since day one to X-box thinking I was doing something wrong. Now I wonder Why I did not box it up and send it back and get a play station? I try to stream Amazon tonight and got 5 minutes of the program before it signed me off and said to connect
a controller, that was in my hand and how I was running Amazon. Coming up on 2 years of this headache and if it were any other item such as my cell phone or T.V, I would have sent it back that first week. But I talked to many people over the phone about my
problems with my unit and they say oh this was an update issue or I need a new controller. I keep falling for it. I keep thinking it is not the unit it self. But I think I am fooling my self. Can anyone out there suggest anything I can do that is not already
covered in Q & A on all the issues I have with this machine? Or should I just throw it away and understand MicroSoft took me for $400, plus games, plus controllers, plus Gold Membership plus external hard drive? FYI No I am not going to spend even more money
to buy a new one. When no one can seem to get this one to work right. I think what really makes me mad is when I try and play OVERWATCH and get booted off. I get punished by Overwatch for leaving the game early, when I had no control over leaving early or
wanted to leave the game at that time.

Controller will not stay connected

^ was thinking the same thing as the gentlemen above me. Certain devices around the house or within close proximity can cancel out wireless controllers. Similar frequencies can cancel out each other. You have another controller you could check to see if
it has similar issues. If it is just that controller and the other one is working fine, it might be a faulty controller.

Gave my nimh batteries a full charge and bought another pair so I could swap and haven't had any issue since. I also padded the battery compartment a bit with tape.

One of those steps solved the problem since nothing else changed. Same console & controller. No changes in wireless devices or the network.

 

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.
