Signing in to Xbox One

Hi

I use my flatmate's Xbox One to play Metal Gear Solid 5, and only want to play offline (i.e. I'm not trying to log into Xbox Live - sorry, this is the nearest forum topic I could find). When I now try to load the game (I hadn't played it for several months)
I get a message saying that I'm not signed in and so progress will not be saved, even though I have signed in three times by this point - as follows:

Kinect recognises me and says 'hello'

I manually log in on the left, selecting my icon.

When the game is loading it gives me a chance to confirm who I am (i.e. that I'm not my flatmate) - I select my icon (above which it says that I am signed in), and I immediately get a message saying that as I'm not signed in my progress will not be saved.
The game then loads from the very beginning with no saved progress available.

Can anyone help?...

Signing in to Xbox One

My son is trying to sign in to his xbox one and the message he is receiving is telling him to go into his account. We are looking through his account and cannot find a problem with his account. Are there any suggestions as to what this message means?

Xbox One Connection and network troubleshooting link. I would suggest that you take a look over the information that's provided within. It may lead you to a solution for the issue.

Thanks, but I'm not trying to sign into Xbox Live - I want to sign in to the Xbox One and play offline.

Hello SnarlyBeef76

In order to play offline with the Xbox one you must follow a few steps

Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.

Select Settings.

Select All Settings.

Select Network.

Select Network settings, and then select Go offline.

That should work for you if it does not please refer to
support.xbox.com/.../using-xbox-one-offline for further troubleshooting steps

How are you signing into the Xbox? Where does the message appear, and what does it exactly say, word for word?

I've never heard of a sort of error that simply tells the user to "go into your account".

If the account is able to sign in normally, play games, and go online (if it is Gold), then I wouldn't imagine why there would be any problem.

Sorry to say that one of the core services that manages logging into xbox live is having issues right not and affect your ability to log in. They are working to resolve it quickly
