Signing in to xbox live with a second controller

I have purchased a second controller for use with my Xbox 360. To use it I turned off the original controller and turned on the new one

However when using the new controller if I press the guide button to sign in to my xbox live account it is not listed.

(There is a player one profile - as there is when using the other controller - but my second profile which is the one connected to my xbox live account does not show up when using the new controller)

Can anyone help?

To sign in as a guest on xbox live.

Have you tried creating a second profile for the second controller and then signing in with the second profile using the second controller?

2 players Campaign mode/versus/horde doesn't work when playing Gears of War 2 Backwards Compatibility Mode?

i've tried signing in with the 2nd controller once i'm in the 360 emulator but it will only allow me to sign in as a guest Xbox live account. If i try signing under my Xbox live account, it signs out of xbox live completely.

Hi there,

not sure if I understand the issue, but a profile can only be signed in once, so if it is already signed in on the other controller, you will need to sign it out in order to be able to sign in with the second controller.

Thanks for the help. I turned off the console and the controller, turned on the Xbox 360 again and turned on the new controller and it allowed me to sign in with my xbox live account/profile.

right ..... go to multiplayer, then xbox live, then sign in second controller , then find match or private match.

Yeah .... I just checked and its quite simple. Keep in mind this is the 360.

Sign in to live and ghosts. At the menue select xbox live adn then you have the option to sign in second controller. Sign in as guest, anf go to either "private match" or "find match" ( no ffa ) ..... when the match starts it will be split screen.

It also gives the option to sign in a second controller on " local play "

If you go back to the main menue it signs the 2nd controller out ..... so dont do that. Just go to your match after signing in the controller.

You want both kids on live do you have 2 xbox 360 controllers if so push the middle button on the second controller and push it again and it will say sign in xbox live profile
