Signing in to the Xbox console companion app on my computer.

Does your computer successfully sign into the Xbox app or the Xbox Console Companion app? I would recommend running a test in the Settings > Network tab of the Xbox Console Companion app and see if there are any issues listed there that we can troubleshoot.

Is this a new issue, or have you been able to sign in previously?

Try adding your Xbox/Microsoft account to the laptop, sign in with that account, launch the app, and hopefully that will work.

That's the only thing I can think of right now.

have you tried to use the beta version for the same app, it should be available in the store too.

To see if that one will sign you in or not. (The two versions can co-exist)

Why you don't switch your local account to microsoft account?

1. Click on Start menu and select Accounts.
2. Select Your email and accounts and click on Sign in with a Microsoft account instead.
3. Type the details for your Microsoft Account.
4. Reboot the PC for the changes to take effect.

If you are just wanting to sign in with a different email on the console companion app In case you have a different account that you use on your computer compared to the one you have on your xbox profile you can follow these directions.

1. Load the console companion app. This should automatically sign you in on whatever Microsoft account you are signed into on your computer.

2. You should see in the upper left corner a circle it may have your profile pic in it if so right click on that circle/pic

3. A menu should come down and allow you to sign out of that account (this will only sign you out on the console companion app not the computer.

4. You should then be given a choice to sign in with a new account. Here is where you can sign in with your xbox profile account.
