Signing in to Microsoft store or Xbox Live on windows

Hi,

This is an older issue that pops up every now and then. Is your Windows up to date? Some have had success following the below steps:

1. Close the Apps

2. Browse in file explorer to %localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\TokenBroker and delete all the folders found there

3. Relaunch the Apps

TomELL1, this particular error could happen for a lot of reasons. Usually, the error code 121010 means Xbox fails to save the user’s data on the cloud.

Restart your device and check if the issue is fixed.

Make sure that you are signed in to the Xbox app.

You can try the following solutions to fix the Xbox Live error 121010 while playing the Microsoft Solitaire Collection game.

Check for updates in Microsoft Store

Check Xbox Live Status

Check your antivirus Firewall settings

Sign out and sign in again to the Microsoft Store

Launch Microsoft Store.

Click on your profile picture on the top right side.

Click your account. A new window will pop up.

Click Sign out.

Close Microsoft Store and restart your computer.

After restarting the computer, launch Microsoft Store and sign in again.

Reset the game from Settings

The issue lies with the wrong account possibly being signed in to the Microsoft Store app, which is where your subscription for Ultimate is verified and where games are techincally installed from the Game Pass subscription. Since your Xbox Live account
(Microsoft Account) is not the one you use to sign in to Windows, the Xbox (Beta) app is not recognizing the subscription that is not linked to the Micrososft Account you use to sign in to Windows, but rather the Microsoft Account you have your Xbox Live profile
linked to.

Open the Microsoft Store app and click on the user icon in the top right corner, select the account (which should be the one logged into Windows), and sign out. When the page reloads, click the same icon and log into the other Microsoft Account that has
the Ultimate subscription purchased. Once you're logged in to the correct account on the Microsoft Store, you should be able to download games from the Xbox (beta) app or directly from the Store.

Kindly run the Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter

Windows 11 has a built-in troubleshooter for fixing Microsoft Store app issues. Here's how to run it:

Open Settings (Windows + I).

Go to System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.

Find and click on Windows Store Apps under Most frequent.

Click Run and follow the on-screen instructions.

Next is to sign in to the Microsoft Store. Please ensure that you are signed in to the Microsoft Store with the same account you use to install the Xbox app.

Open Microsoft Store.

Click on the profile icon in the top-right corner and sign in with your Microsoft account.

Once signed in, search for the Xbox app in the Microsoft Store and try installing it again.

Then kindly clear the Microsoft Store and Xbox App Data. Open Settings (Windows + I).

Go to Apps > Installed Apps.

Scroll down to find Microsoft Store and Xbox App.

Click on Microsoft Store, then click Advanced options. Choose Reset.

Do the same for the Xbox app by selecting Advanced options and then Reset.

After resetting both apps, restart your PC and try installing the Xbox app again.

After that is to manually Install the Xbox App. To do this, please visit the Xbox App page on the Microsoft Store.

Click Get to download and install the Xbox app manually.

If you're prompted to open the Microsoft Store, ensure that you're logged in with the correct Microsoft account.

Sign out of the Microsoft Store and the "Xbox Console Companion" app (if you don't have it, install it).

Open the Credential Manager > Windows Credentials

Remove XblGrts|Devicekey

Go to the Windows search bar and type down services.msc and go to Services.

Now you have to locate Xbox Accessory Management services.

Right-click on it and select Restart.

Do the same for the following services: Xbox Live Auth Manager, Xbox Live Game Save, and Xbox Live networking service.

Restart the PC and sign in to the Microsoft Store, Xbox Console companion and Xbox app with the same account.
