Signing in to every game, every time, since Update

I'm the only one that uses my Xbox One. I am permanently signed in and have selected automatic sign-in in Settings. But since the November 2015 update I have to sign in as myself to every bloody game, every single time I play it. Why does everything have
to come to a screeching halt while I select my Gamer ID AGAIN. It makes no sense. Am I doing something wrong? Is there something that I can re-set? I thought the update was supposed to get me to my games faster, not add an extra step that is both useless
and unnecessary since I am already signed in to my console. If I have a guest and need to change the sign-in I will glady do it as needed, but for now, please help me to just get into my game without a second sign-in. Thanks for your help.

Signing in every time

Hey JeremiahMIC!

When you're asked to sign in do you ever get an error message or are you able to select your profile and sign-in? There are two things we would want to start with for this issue. First, let's have you clear your Xbox 360 console's cache with the

steps on this page and reset your network. To reset your network unplug your network hardware for 30 seconds while your console is powered off and then reconnect.

If that doesn't help, let's try a quick re-download of your profile by pressing the guide button (the Xbox button) and selecting download profile. From there, enter your account information which will re-download your profile.

Signing in every time

Every time I load up a game or switch game modes, xbox live asks me to sign in, and i dont know why this is happening. Help please?

 

I have not experienced this issue, so it's a glitch not a feature, I'd suggest assuring auto sign in is still set to on for your account. You do have to manually set it when you initially set up the Xbox. The update may have restored you to default settings.

 

First thing I checked before posting here was to make sure auto sign-in was still on. It is. Every time I go to start a game I now have to go through the "Who are you?" step. Very annoying!

Try going to the setting then, in the drop down side menu under account go and press a on "sign-in,security.." after go to "change my sign-in and security preferences and change it to no barriers.

Also there is an option under the sign-in,security and passkey setting where you can change the setting to instant sign in

Thanks for trying, Dubstep. I did all that before I posted here. I probably have a glitch and am going to try re-installing the update; maybe that will do it. I appreciate your answering very much.

Sorry about that, Dubstep. I always try to do the "did you try turning it off and back on again" stuff *before* I ask for help. That didn't help you any, though. Did the re-set and re-download on the update, double-checked the settings you suggested,
and all is working as it should once more. Thanks for your help; it was much appreciated. Best regards, Tom
