Signing in PIN problem

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

You may need to reset your PIN by following the steps below:

1. On the sign-in screen, select I forgot my PIN below the PIN text box. If there are multiple accounts on the PC, choose the one you need to reset.

2. On the Enter your password screen, type the password for your Microsoft account and then select Next.

3. On the Help us protect your info screen, choose to receive your security code either as a text or email message. If you select the text, type the last four digits of your phone number, and then select Send Code. Learn more about security info and security codes

4. When you get the code as a text or email message on a separate device, enter it on the Enter the code you received screen, and then select Next.

5. In the Set up a PIN dialog box, enter your new PIN and confirm it. Your new PIN is now set.

There have been several errors being reported about sign-in with the pin code. I think that the issue might be on Microsoft's end. Try removing the pin sign-in to see if that fixes the problem.

I'm assuming you are talking about the PIN on the Xbox when you sign in, which is 6 digits? If you have a friend who has an Xbox, try signing in on their console, then go to Profile & system > Settings > Account > Sign-in, security & PIN > Delete my PIN. Then sign out of it when done.

Do you sign in to your PC with a PIN?

Having the same problem. Restarted then selected sign in options and signed in with original password rather than pin. MS jigsaw loads properly. I have special characters in my password.

I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with the PIN feature.

May I ask if you have already tried changing your account's security preferences? like this:

- Sign in to the parent account
- Go to Settings > Account > Sign in, Security and PIN > Change my sign-in & Security preferences.

A) If you select "Ask for my PIN", your child will need to provide your PIN to sign in to your account or access the "Sign-in, Security and PIN" settings page.

B) If you select "Lock it down", your child will need to provide your password to sign in to your account, and your PIN to access the "Sign-in, Security and PIN" settings page.

This should prevent your child from changing your account's PIN.
