Signing in offline

Hi all,

So moved house, no Internet for another 7 days, tried to sign in off line, Xbox One ain't having it...

Is it actually possible? I've set the console to "offline" and still no joy. Comes up with a msg basically saying you need to be connected to sign in and if you haven't saved your password it's not going to happen .

Any pointers?

Can't Connect to Xbox Live Account While Offline to Play Offline. (It just now started being a problem)

If you have the most recent update got to settings, network, then select "Go Offline". Try this before signing an account in. Once you go offline there should be no problems signing into your account.

Achievements Dissapeared...

if you unlock achievements offline and then do a account recover w/o signing in online, you will lose ALL achievement you gained during the recovery prior to signing in online

 

Use your phone as an access point and do it that way to do what you are needing to do.

 

Also if your games are digital then you have to be connected to Xbox Live in order for them to verify that you have a legit copy of the game.

I've never tried signing in with my Xbox One being off-line before. However I have signed in off-line on my Xbox 360 without any issues at all.

I was under the impression that the Xbox One can work without the internet after the initial set-up is complete.

It's probably because you haven't saved your password, as I can play digital and disc based offline while signed in. Achievements pop once you go back online.

Do they ever, A friend came over on Sunday with his xb1 to use my internet (He has no online) Once updated, the xb1 was popping Achievements like a teenager with chronic acne. I kid you not, I had time to whip up some Vape Juice and it was still going. The
one thing my friend said, What the hell was microsoft thinking with this online garbage, Not everyone has internet let alone unlimited. He only bought it over to get dvd's and bluray to play. Anyway, OP, I think D33dles is correct with his thoughts.
