Signing in issues

I recently unplugged my sons Xbox 360 in order to redecorate his room, it was only unplugged for 1/2 days max. Now when he is trying to sign in to his avatar is has the arrow going around in a circle and says signing in... But never does, I have left this
for 24hrs to see if it worked but never has! I have tested the network and it is fine, tried disconnecting and setting the connection up, I have also checked is subscription, but I pay it monthly direct from my bank so I know it's still live and up to date,
he is only 8 btw! Can anyone help......PLEASE.

Signing in issues

I get on my Xbox the past few days and my account signs in when it feels like it. Tonight I'm looking into it more as I'm over it, but the only thing it points to is the connection to Xbox live its self and once I have signed in it does tell me there is
technical difficulties and I won't be able to use some Xbox live features. I brought the Xbox on one of its selling points that it can stream media over a network from shared content in windows and I love this feature but it won't let me play media unless
I am connected to my windows live account, but since live is constantly telling me they are having technical difficulties I can't play a simple video from windows because of it. Why do I pay for this service if it dosent work for days straight?!?!?

 

Issues signing in

Make sure to reset your modem /router it could be your connection not being compatible with xbox live systems if your having problems with downloading updates which you get error messages you might need to use a different connection to do the update and
which might mean bring your console to a friends or family member to complete the update

 

does any Kind of error Pop up or does it stay on loading circle?

can other profiles sign in correctly?

 

No error messages at all, just saying signing in constantly!

He is the only 1 with a live account

 

if you disconnect your xbox from the Internet, does it now Login correctly?

im sorry, but i would at least wish you actually had an error message, that way it would be easier to pinpoint the reason

 

Disconnected and the reconnected but still doing exact same thing!!!!

Hey there UneasiestWolf8!

If your son's console have an external hard drive, I suggest that you make sure this unit is properly attached.

To make sure, have the console powered off and safely remove the hard drive and add it back.
Here's how!

Turn on the Xbox and (if you haven't already) clear the Xbox system cache. To make sure all temporary data, stored in the cache, are being deleted, repeat the "clear" process 3 times in a row.
Here's how!



Now, go to Xbox Network Settings and select Configure Network. Select the Additional settings tab and Restore network settings to factory defaults. This will issue new IP configuration from the DHCP server on the router. Afterwards, press "B" on the controller
and select Test Xbox Live Connection. Run the diagnostic test to make sure the console has a solid connection to Live.

Try redownload your son's profile from Live.
